Northern Railway Recruitment 2024
A walk-in-interview will be held from Open Market and from Retired Doctors of Railways, State & Central Government and PSUs for selection of 06 full time Medical Practitioners over Firozpur Division/Northern Railway on Contract basis for doctors for duration of one year who fulfils the eligibility criteria specified below.

Qualification for Northern Railway Recruitment 2024
- Degree in Medicine I.e. MBBS recognized by the Medical Council of India.
- A Postgraduate qualification/DNB/DMRD in the relevant subject/field recognized by the Medical Council of India.
- Three years experience in Clinical work after Post Graduation in the specialty concerned as on the date of interview is desirable.
Salary for Northern Railway Recruitment 2024
The monthly remuneration payable to CMPs engaged on full time basis on Railways is as under: -
- GDMO: Rs. 75,000/-
- Specialist (1st Year): Rs. 95,000/-
- Specialist (2nd Year): Rs. 1,05,000/-
- Super Specialist: Rs. 1,15,000/-
Age Limit for Northern Railway Recruitment 2024
Age limit for Open Market:-
- Candidates should not have completed 53 years of age as on 01.04.2024 for appointment as Contract Medical Practitioners (CMPs).
- However, age relaxation of 05 years SC/ST and 03 years for OBC candidates is applicable.
- From open market, a CMP can be engaged for a maximum of 12 annual terms or up to the age of 65 years, whichever is earlier.
Age limit for retired Railway/ Government doctors engaged as CMPS:-
- The number of annual terms of engagement of Retired/Government doctors engaged as CMPs is SEVEN subject to attaining the age limit of 67 years, whichever is earlier.

Walk-In Interview Details for Northern Railway Recruitment 2024
- Date: 04.04.2024, Time: 10:00 Hrs, Venue: Railway Officers Rest House, Pathankot station
- Date: 05.04.2024, Time: 10:00 Hrs, Venue: VIP Room/SS room, Railway station, Amritsar
- Date: 08.04.2024, Time: 10:00 Hrs Venue: Committee Hall, Divisional Railway Manager Office,
- Candidates should submit their application on prescribed Performa enclosed herewith latest by 10.00 AM at above mentioned venue on the day of walk-in-interview.
- The doctor so engaged on contract basis will not be allowed for private practice.
- The contract doctor shall not be entitled for Railway quarter etc as a matter of right.
- Candidates should bring their application form along with original, attested copies of all educational certificates & mark-sheets, experience certificate, Caste Certificate (SC/ST/OBC Candidates), Retired Doctors will bring a copy of their Pension Payment order (PPO).
- No TA/DA is admissible.
- He/she shall also have to carry out general duties as and when required by railway administration is addition to their specialised work.
- Suitable candidates will be intimated through telephone call or SMS to report at concerned posting place for medical and joining.
- The candidates who do not report at the assigned date and time will forfeit their chance of contract engagement and such engagement will be offered to the next empanelled candidate.
- Medical examination of the selected candidates will be held after giving an offer of appointment.
