Northern Railway Recruitment 2024 Notification Out for 38 Group D, Check Eligibility at rrcnr.org
Northern Railway has released a notification for the recruitment of 38 Group D positions under the Sports Quota for the year 2023-24. The eligible candidates must have passed the 10th standard or its equivalent examination. Additionally, they should have achieved sports qualifications between April 1, 2021, and the date of notification.
The age limit for applicants is between 18 to 25 years as of July 1, 2024, with no age relaxation. The selection process involves screening, scrutiny of applications, document verification, trials, and assessment of sports achievements. The last date to apply online is May 16, 2024, with the expected trial date set for June 10, 2024.
Candidates are required to upload necessary documents, including proof of date of birth, educational certificates, and relevant sports qualifications. Position, Vacancy for Northern Railway Recruitment 2024
- Recruitment Of Sports Person Against Sports Quota for Group-D Posts From Open Market Advertisement In Northern Railway For The Year 2023-24.
- Online Applications are invited from Eligible Indian Sports Person as per the detail given below for the 38 (Thirty-Eight) vacancies in Level 1 of Pay Matrix 7th CPC against Sports Quota through Open Advertisement Quota for the Year 2023-24 in Northern Railway.
Qualification for Northern Railway Recruitment 2024
- Candidate should possess the following requisite Education Qualification as on date of Notification.
- Minimum Prescribed Educational Qualification: Passed 10th or its equivalent examination.
- Candidate possessing higher education qualification should also upload their 12th pass graduation/post- graduation certificate.
Sports Qualification (Achievements):
- Only those sportspersons who have acquired the following sports achievement eligibility norms in the championship from 01/04/2021 to (date of notification) and are active, will be eligible to apply for appointment against above posts under Sports Quota
- For validity of sports achievement, concluding day of the championship/even shall be taken in account.
Pay Scale for Northern Railway Recruitment 2024
- Existing Pay Band/Scale (6thCPC): PB-1, 5,200-20200, GP-1800/-, Level in7th CPC: Level-1, Posts in Pay Matrix: Level 1- GP 1800/- as per 6th CPC
- Sports persons having sports norms of higher pay matrix and applied against the vacancies for the lower pay matrix will be considered for applied level only if found eligible otherwise
- No TA/DA/Accommodation will be given for appearing in the selection trials/assessment. Applicant will have to bring their own playing kit
Age Limit for Northern Railway Recruitment 2024
- 18-25 years of age as on 01/07/2024.
- No age relaxation (upper or lower) shall be permissible.
- The candidate should note that only the 10th /Matriculation/Secondary examination certificate or an equivalent certificate/Marksheet indicating date of birth or school leaving certificate indicating date of birth uploaded will be accepted as documentary proof of date of birth.
Application Fee for Northern Railway Recruitment 2024
- For all candidates except those mentioned in sub-para (ii) below: Rs. 500/- (Rupees Five Hundred) only through Online Payment in favor of RRC/NR. Application Fee of Rs. 400/- will be refunded after deducting bank charges to these Categories of Candidate only when they actually appear in the Trial.
- For candidates belonging to SC/ST, Women, Minorities and Economically Backward Classes: Rs. 250/- (Rupees Two Hundred Fifty) only. Application Fee will be refunded after deducting bank charges to these Categories of Candidate only when they actually appear in the Trial.
Selection Procedure for Northern Railway Recruitment 2024
- The procedure for recruitment of candidate will be as under:-
- Screening & Scrutiny of application.
- Documents Verification the eligible candidates will be called for Document Verification before Trial
- The recruitment will be based on trials & assessment of sports achievements, Educational Qualification.
- After trial, only FIT candidates shall be considered for next stage by Recruitment Committee
- Final Merit List Candidates shall be prepared on the basis of total marks awarded by Trial Committee and Recruitment Committee.
- Candidates will have to bring their own playing kit for trial wherever applicable.
- Merely filling upon line application on RRC website does not entitle the candidate being eligible for selection process. Candidature of the candidate participating in the selection process is provisional at all stages.
