North Western Railway Recruitment 2024
The North Western Railway (NWR), one of India's 19 railway zones, is based in Jaipur, Rajasthan. With a workforce exceeding 59,075 employees, it oversees 658+ stations and manages a network spanning over 5,761 kilometers (3,580 mi) across Rajasthan, Gujarat, Punjab, and Haryana. Among its notable services is the Thar Express, an international rail route connecting Jodhpur to Karachi.
Additionally, NWR plays a pivotal role in facilitating the Delhi–Mumbai Industrial Corridor Project, primarily through its operation along the 1,500 km long Western Dedicated Freight Corridor.

3. Qualification:
The candidate must have passed 10 th class examination or its equivalent (under 10+2 examination system) with minimum 50% marks, in aggregate, from recognized Board and also possess National Trade Certificate in the notified trade issued by National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT) / State Council for Vocational Training(SCVT).
4. Age Limit: The candidates should have completed 15 years of age and should not have completed 24 years of age as on 10.02.2024. Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years in case of SC/ST candidates, 3 years in case of OBC candidates
Mode of Selection for North Western Railway Recruitment 2024
- Candidates will be selected based on a merit list compiled from all applicants against the notification. This list will be created considering the percentage of marks obtained in matriculation (with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks) alongside ITI marks in the specific trade for which the apprenticeship is sought. The panel will be determined by averaging the marks in matriculation and ITI.
- The calculation of the matriculation percentage will encompass marks obtained in all subjects, not just specific subjects or groups.
- For computing the percentage of ITI marks, the marks mentioned in the provisional/final certificate will be considered.
- If two candidates share identical marks, preference will be given to the older candidate. In cases where the dates of birth are the same, the candidate who passed the matriculation exam earlier will be considered first.
- A final merit list will be prepared Division/unit wise, trade wise, and community wise, equivalent to the number of available slots, arranged in descending order of the candidate's percentage marks, as explained above.

- ONLINE applications are invited from interested candidates for engagement of Act Apprentices for imparting training under the Apprentice Act 1961 in the designated trades at Workshops/Units in the jurisdiction of North Western Railway against 1646 slots. Applications complete in all respects should be submitted only ONLINE till 23.59 Hrs. of the closing date
- Candidates should note and take cognizance of the fact that this is a Centralized Notification for engagement of Act Apprentices under the Apprentices Act 1961 for North Western Railway Units and Railway Recruitment Cell, North Western Railway (RRC/NWR) has been nominated as nodal agency for obtaining ONLINE applications from candidates and preparation of their merit list.
