The National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli, is seeking applications from Indian Nationals for four Project Associate - II positions in the project "Condition Assessment and Management Plan (CAMP) for Cauvery River Basin" under Dr. Nisha Radhakrishnan. The project is funded by the National River Conservation Directorate, Ministry of Jal Sakthi, Government of India.
Two positions require candidates with a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering/Geoinformatics/Agriculture and a Master's degree in Water Resources Engineering, while the other two positions require a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering/Geoinformatics/Agriculture and a Master's degree in Remote Sensing/Geoinformatics. Essential qualifications include a minimum of 60% marks or 6.5 CGPA in both degrees, along with relevant experience and proficiency in watershed modeling using remote sensing/GIS or geospatial techniques.
The upper age limit is 35 years, and selected candidates will receive emoluments based on qualification and city tier. The duration of the project is one year, extendable based on performance. Responsibilities include data collection, geodatabase creation, map preparation, watershed assessment modeling, and software proficiency. Qualifications Details for NIT Trichy Recruitment 2024
- Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering/ Geoinformatics/Agriculture with minimum of 60% marks or 6.5 CGPA and M.E./M.Tech. or Equivalent in Water Resources Engineering with 60% marks or 6.5 CGPA, from any recognized University/ Institute
- 2 years relevant experience in respective disciplines in Central/State Government or Institute of National Importance or Universities
- Experience in working in Watershed Modelling using Remote Sensing/GIS
- Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering/ Geoinformatics/ Agriculture with minimum of 60% marks or 6.5 CGPA and M.E./M. Tech. or Equivalent in Remote Sensing/ Geoinformatics with 60% marks or 6.5 CGPA, from any recognized University/ Institute
- Experience in working in Watershed Modelling using Geospatial Techniques

Pay Scale for NIT Trichy Recruitment 2024
- Rs. 35,000 + 16% HRA (Tier II City) per month for Gate qualified candidates
- Rs. 28,000 + 16% HRA (Tier II City) per month for Non-Gate qualified candidates
