The National Institute of Technology Srinagar, in collaboration with the J&K Science Technology and Innovation Council, is seeking a Junior Research Assistant (JRA) for a one-year project, extendable based on performance, to develop a software tool for the automatic detection of plastic waste deposits in Dal Lake of Kashmir using aerial image analysis.
The ideal candidate should possess a B.E./B.Tech. in CSE/IT or related field with a minimum CGPA of 6.5 or equivalent, along with an M.E./M.Tech or equivalent with a similar CGPA. Alternatively, candidates with a valid GATE score above the prescribed cutoff level and a minimum CGPA of 8.0 or equivalent are eligible.
Desirable qualifications include working knowledge of computer vision, AI/ML, and IoT. The emoluments for the position are set at Rs. 20,000 per month. Interested candidates should submit the filled application form, CV, and scanned copies of supporting documents online by April 14, 2024, 5:00 pm.

Qualifications Details for NIT Srinagar Recruitment 2024
- B.E. /B. Tech. in CSE/IT or relevant degree with a minimum CGPA of 6.5 or not less than 60%, and
- M. E. / M. Tech in CSE/IT or relevant field with a minimum CGPA of 6.5 or not less than 60%. (OR)
- BE/B. Tech (4-year) with valid GATE score above the prescribed cut off level.
- The candidates shall have a Minimum CGPA of 8.0 or not less than 75%
- Working knowledge on Computer Vision, AI/ML and IoT
