NIT Patna invites applications from Indian nationals for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering. The position is for the project "Design and development of Audio Sensor and Data Acquisition Systems" under the consortium project "ML.-Enabled RISC-V based i-LoRa SOC for Forest Event monitoring" by MeitY, Govt. of India.
There are 2 vacancies for a duration of 2 years, extendable to Senior Research Fellow (SRF) thereafter. The consolidated fellowship/salary is Rs. 37,000+HRA for JRF and Rs. 42,000+HRA for SRF. Essential qualification includes B.E./B.Tech. or M.E./M.Tech. in Electronics and Communication Engineering with GATE qualification. Desirable requirements include knowledge of OS, EDA tools, and circuit design.
Interested candidates must submit applications by email before May 12, 2024. Note that the position is temporary, and shortlisted candidates will be notified via email for the interview. No TA/DA will be provided for the interview, and selected candidates are expected to join immediately. Additionally, selected candidates will be encouraged to register for a Ph.D. program in the Electronics and Communication Department during the July 2024 session.

Qualification for NIT Patna Recruitment 2024
- B.E./B.Tech. with minimum of 60% marks in Electronic and Communication Engineering and having valid GATE score (or)
- M.E./M.Tech. with minimum of 60% marks in Electronics and Communication Engineering/VLSI/Embedded System/ Microelectronics/ Electronics System and GATE qualified.
- Knowledge of OS (Window/Linux/CentOS/RHEL).
- Knowledge of EDA tools (Cadence/Synopsys/Mentor Graphics).
- Knowledge of Analog/RF/Mixed-mode Circuit Design, HDL Coding.
