NIT Nagaland Recruitment 2024 Walk-In Interviews for Junior Research Fellow on 23rd April 2024

The Department of Science and Humanities (Physics) at the National Institute of Technology Nagaland invites applications from Indian nationals for a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) or Project Assistant (PA) position in a research project funded by DST-SERB, titled "Desert beetle inspired hierarchical surfaces for water harvesting" (Project no. CRG/2023/007359), led by Dr. Debarun Dhar Purkayastha, Associate Professor.

The project duration is three years, and one position is available. Candidates must hold an MSc in Physics with at least 60% marks or a 6.5 CGPA out of 10, and desirable qualifications include preliminary knowledge/experience in Thin Films deposition and characterization.

The consolidated salary for JRF is Rs. 37,000/- per month plus HRA (for NET/GATE qualified) and for PA is Rs. 25,000/- per month plus HRA (for Non-NET/GATE qualified). Interested candidates should attend the walk-in interview on April 23, 2024, at the institute premises, with attested photocopies of relevant certificates/mark-sheets and a passport-size self-attested photo. Original certificates must be presented for verification.

Pay Scale for NIT Nagaland Recruitment 2024

• For JRF: Rs. 37,000/- per month –plus HRA (NET/GATE)
• For PA Rs. 25,000/- per month –plus HRA (Non NET/GATE)

Terms and Conditions for NIT Nagaland Recruitment 2024

• The appointment is purely temporary on a contractual basis (for either 06 months or 12 months) which can be renewed upon satisfactory performance (as per the Institute rules).
• Original documents of mark sheets/degree certificates/age proof and other testimonials must be presented at the time of interview.
• No TA/DA shall be paid to candidates for attending the Interview.
• Project Investigator (PI) reserves the right to fill up the post, not to fill up the post or cancel the advertisement in whole or partly without assigning any reason.
• The decision of the PI in this regard will be final.

• Eligible candidate need to attend the walk in interview on the date given below along with one set of attested photocopy of all relevant certificates/mark-sheets and one passport size self-attested photo are to be produced with the application at the time of interview.
