The Department of Chemistry at the National Institute of Technology, Durgapur, is conducting a walk-in interview for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF), funded by the West Bengal Department of Science & Technology and Biotechnology. The project focuses on exploring the synergy in Ru‒Sn heterobimetallic complexes for catalytic applications in organic syntheses.
The JRF position is purely temporary for a duration of three years, with a monthly fellowship of Rs. 25,000/-, extendable to Rs. 30,000/- in the third year. Candidates must hold an M.Sc. in Chemistry with a first-class degree. Preference will be given to candidates with NET/NET(LS)/SET/GATE qualification. The interview is scheduled for April 29, 2024, at 11:00 AM, with applicants required to report by 10:00 AM at the Department of Chemistry, NIT Durgapur.

Qualification for NIT Durgapur Recruitment 2024
- M. Sc. in Chemistry with First class.
- With a good academic record. Preference may be given to the candidates with valid NET/NET(LS)/State Level Eligibility Test (SET)/GATE or who are qualified in any other National Level Examinations conducted by MHRD/MoE.
Salary for NIT Durgapur Recruitment 2024
- Junior Research Fellow (JRF) stipend: Rs. 25,000 per month in the first and second years.
- Senior Research Fellow (SRF) stipend: Rs. 30,000 per month in the third year.
- Stipend increase for SRF contingent upon the candidate fulfilling necessary qualifications and criteria recommended by the evaluation committee.
- Tenure of the project spans three years, with the specified termination date.
Selection Procedure for NIT Durgapur Recruitment 2024
- Selected candidates will not be entitled to claim for regular appointments/absorption in this institute.
- The performance of the candidate in the project will be evaluated every year and tenure of the post may be extended based on the performance of the candidate.
- No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
