National Institute of Technology Durgapur (NIT Durgapur) announces recruitment for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF), with one vacancy available. Candidates with ME/M.Tech in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Production Engineering, or relevant areas with minimum 65% marks, or MSc in Physics with minimum 70% marks are eligible to apply.
The salary offered is Rs. 37,000 per month for the first two years, which may be enhanced to Rs. 42,000 per month upon promotion to Senior Research Fellow (SRF). Applications must reach the principal investigator via email at [email protected] with the subject "Application for the post of JRF in DRDO sponsored project" before April 30, 2024.
Selection will be through an interview conducted via online/hybrid mode, and shortlisted candidates will be notified via email. Selected candidates are expected to join immediately and may have to work outside normal working hours and days.

Qualification for NIT Durgapur Recruitment 2024
- ME/M.Tech in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering/ Materials Science and Engineering/Mechanical Engineering/Aerospace Engineering/Production Engineering or relevant area with minimum 65% marks
- MSc in Physics with minimum 70% marks
Salary for NIT Durgapur Recruitment 2024
- Rs 37.000/- per month for the first two years as JRF.
- The fellowship will be enhanced to Rs 42.000/- per month if the JRF is promoted to SRF
