- Essential Qualification is Ph.D.
- First Class in B.Tech./B.E., M.Tech./M.E. in relevant branch/ discipline and Ph.D in any of the area of specialization mentioned above or First Class in B.Tech./B.E. in relevant branch/ discipline and Ph.D in any of the area of specialization
- First Class in Masters’ Degree in relevant branch/ discipline and Ph.D in any of the area of specialization. First Class in MBA and Ph.D in any of the area of specialization mentioned
Pay Scale for NIT Durgapur Recruitment 2024
- Assistant Professor Grade II (On contract): Pay Level10 (Entry pay Rs.70900=00)
- Assistant Professor Grade-I Pay Level 12 (Entry Pay Rs.101500=00)
- Associate Professor: Pay Level 13A2 (Entry pay Rs.139600=00)
- Professor: Pay Level 14A (Entry Pay Rs.159100=00)
Age Limit for NIT Durgapur Recruitment 2024
- Fresh appointment beyond the age of 60 years is discouraged except in the case of faculty with exceptionally brilliant research career and with on-going or approved externally funded research project.
- The date for determining eligibility of candidates in every respect i.e. qualifications, experience and preferred age limit etc. shall be considered as on the closing date (30.04.2024, i.e. the last date of the submission of online application form
Application fees for NIT Durgapur Recruitment 2024
1. The Candidate should pay a non-refundable application processing fee of Rs. 1500/- (Rupees One Thousand Five Hundred) for General, OBC and EWS candidates by SBI Collect as per the details given in the payment link. SC, ST, PWD & Female candidates need not to pay the application processing fee
2. Candidates who have applied against the advertisement no. NITD/Estt./Faculty /02/2023, Dated: 31/03/2023 and already paid an amount of Rs. 1000/- as application processing fees must have to apply online and the difference amount of Rs. 500/- has to be paid through SBI Collect.
Selection Procedure for NIT Durgapur Recruitment 2024
- The period of experience rendered by a candidate on part time basis, daily wages, visiting/Guest faculty/Purely on Contract Basis (Fixed Remuneration) will not be counted while calculating the valid experience for short-listing the candidates.
- Mere fulfilment of the required qualifications, experience, credit points, etc., does not entitle a candidate to be called for interview/selection. Short listing criteria for calling for interview may be set higher than those advertised

- Online application portal commences from 30th March 2024. Last date for filling and submission of online application form for considerations is 30th April 2024.
- The printout (hard copy) of the online application form, credit point table Sheet and summary sheet with credit point details must reach to the office of Registrar (I/C), National Institute of Technology Durgapur-713209, West Bengal on or before 10th May 2024 till 5 PM, failing which the candidature will not be considered
