National Institute of Technology, Calicut (NIT Calicut), is hiring for the position of Junior Research Fellow with a consolidated monthly salary of Rs. 31,000, plus a 16% House Rent Allowance (HRA) for eligible candidates. The age limit is 28 years, with a 5-year relaxation for Female/SC/ST/Physically Handicapped candidates.
Qualifications include MSc or B.E./B.Tech with a minimum of 55% marks, along with a valid GATE/CSIR/UGC/NET score, or M.E./M.Tech with similar marks and GATE qualification. Expertise in thin film preparation is desirable. Selection will be based on interview performance, and the chosen candidate is expected to join immediately.

Qualification for NIT Calicut Recruitment 2024
- MSc. in Physics, Materials Science, Electronics, or B.E./B.Tech. in Electronics, Materials Science, Applied Physics, Mechanical with a minimum of 55% marks (or equivalent grade). Candidates must also have a valid GATE/CSIR/UGC/NET score.
- Alternatively, candidates can possess M.E./M.Tech in Electronics, Materials Science, Mechanical with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade and should be GATE qualified.
- Expertise in thin film preparation and characterizations is desirable.
Salary for NIT Calicut Recruitment 2024
- The consolidated monthly pay for this position is Rs. 31,000 (Rupees Thirty-One Thousand only) per month, along with a 16% House Rent Allowance (HRA) if the candidate is eligible for it.
Age Limit for NIT Calicut Recruitment 2024
- Candidates should not exceed 28 years of age as of the last date of application.
- Age relaxation of 5 years is applicable for Female/SC/ST/Physically Handicapped candidates.
Selection Procedure for NIT Calicut Recruitment 2024
- The final selection will be based on interview performance.
- The candidate is expected to join immediately, if selected.
- No travelling or any other allowances is admissible for attending the interview.
