The National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (NIMHANS) is conducting a Walk-in-Interview for the position of Junior Community Mobiliser for a SKAN-funded project titled “Population-Based Cohorts Across Stroke Life Course and Development of a Comprehensive Stroke Care Model at District Level.” This contractual position is based in Bangalore, offers a monthly salary of Rs. 60,000, and is initially for six months with a potential extension based on performance.
Applicants should not exceed 40 years of age and must have qualifications such as M.B.B.S, M.P.H, M.D in Community Medicine, or a Master's degree in fields like social work, sociology, political science, community development, psychology, journalism, or mass communication. Proficiency in local languages (especially Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, and English), experience in community mobilization, managing large teams, and media content management are desirable.

Qualifications Details for NIMHANS Recruitment 2024
- M.B.B.S/M.P.H/M. D in Community Medicine, Masters in social work or sociology or political science or community or rural development or psychology or Journalism or mass communication or equivalent.
- The candidate should be well versed with community mobilization activities, networking in the community and local language/s.
- Experience of working in the community is desirable. Experience of working in community based research project/s, managing large teams are preferred. Proficiency in reading, writing and speaking local languages especially Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and English is desirable. Be able to train data collectors in local language. Working knowledge of managing media content including content for webpage, press releases, social media handles etc.
