National Hydroelectric Power Corporation (NHPC) has announced recruitment for 17 Graduate Apprentices positions, offering stipends ranging from Rs. 8,000 to Rs. 9,000 per month.

Applicants must be between 18 to 30 years old and hold Graduate Engineering/B.Tech or Diploma Engineering degrees from AICTE-approved institutions through regular mode. The selection process involves percentage-based evaluation of qualifications, followed by a personal interview.

Interested candidates must register on the Apprenticeship portal and submit their applications within 15 days of the notification date, with preference given to applicants from specific regions. Selected candidates will be responsible for their own accommodation during the training period.

Qualification for NHPC Recruitment 2024

• Graduate Engineers/ B.tech in respective Discipline (04 Year course from AICTE Approved Institute through Regular Mode)
• Diploma Engineering in respective Discipline (03 Year course from AICTE Approved Institute through Regular Mode)
• Educational Qualifications: The applicant should have passed the 04 Year Engineering Degree /03 Year Diploma Engineering examination in respective disciplines from any institution recognized by AICTE through regular mode
• The Applicant who have already completed 5 years, after having passed the qualifying Degree/Diploma as on 01.04.2024 are not eligible to apply under this notification.
• Candidate who have already completed their apprenticeship training or terminated their apprenticeship training mid-way or pursuing apprenticeship in any other organization or any other units of NHPC are not eligible

Stipend for NHPC Recruitment 2024

• Graduate Apprentice Trainees: Rs. 9000/- per month.
• Diploma Apprentice Trainees: Rs. 8000/- per month.
• These stipends will be provided during the one-year apprenticeship at Baira Siul Power Station, in accordance with the norms of the Apprenticeship Act, 1961, and guidelines outlined by the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Government of India, as per the Apprentice Act and/or notifications amended periodically.

Selection Procedure for NHPC Recruitment 2024

• The eligible and shortlisted candidates will be issued a call letter through mail for interview intimating date/time and venue.
• Selection of candidates will be made on the basis of the percentage of marks obtained in the prescribed qualification applicable to the respective trade, performance in the Personal Interview and successful verification of their documents.
• The weightage to Educational Qualification, Technical Qualification and Personal Interview shall be 20%,40% and 40% respectively for final selection.
• The selected candidates are required to submit a Medical Fitness Certificate issued by District Civil Surgeon or equivalent authority before engagement as Apprentice Trainee, as per the Apprentice Act, 1961.
• No TA/DA shall be paid for Personal Interview/verification of documents.
• Please note: candidate registration, if not successful on Apprenticeship portal their candidature cannot be considered for Apprenticeship Training.

How to Apply for NHPC Recruitment 2024

• The Candidate must go through the terms & conditions as mentioned in the notification.
• The candidate must have a valid mobile number & E-Mail ID before applying for apprenticeship.
• The eligible candidates should register themselves on the Apprenticeship portal at www.nats.education.gov.in and apply through the portal.
• The Registration number, generated in the portal should be mentioned in the relevant column of Apprenticeship Application form of Baira Siul Power Station.
• The candidate has to take print out of the Apprenticeship Application form and send along with Passport size photograph, all the self-attested certificates of Educational qualification, B.Tech./Diploma marksheet & certificate, Domicile certificate, Caste Certificate, copy of Adhaar card, PAN card etc. to the below mentioned address by Speed Post/Registered Post/ by Hand within 15 days of Notification. Senior Manager (HR), Baira Siul Power Station (NHPC Ltd.), Surangani, Tehsil-Salooni, Dist.-Chamba-176317 (Himachal Pradesh)
• Last date for submission of Applications for all Trades is within 15 days of the Notification date.
• The first priority shall be given to the applicants from Tehsil: Salooni & Churah of District Chamba, being adjoining areas of Baira Siul Power Station based on their proof of residence.
• The second preference shall be given to the applicants of District Chamba other than Tehsil: Salooni & Churah.
• Candidates should be eligible with respect to age criteria and education qualification as on close date advertisement.
• Candidates whose results are awaited are not eligible, hence, need not apply.
• The selection for the Apprenticeship Trainee will not create/confer and/or confirm any right Whatsoever for appointment in NHPC Limited.
• The selected candidates will not be provided with any accommodation (or any other facility)
• They will have to make their own arrangements for their stay during the training period.
