Qualifications Details for NHB Recruitment 2024
- A master’s degree in economics with specialization in monetary economics or Econometrics from a recognized Indian/ Foreign University
- Doctorate degree in Economics / Banking / Finance from a recognized University will be preferable.
- Graduate in any discipline with ICWAI/ICAI/CFA/MBA (Finance) or equivalent
- Graduate in any discipline along with ICWAI/ICAI/CFA/MBA (Finance) or equivalent/FRM from GARP/PRM from PRMIA
- Graduate in any discipline along with ICWAI/ICAI/CFA/MBA (Finance) or equivalent/FRM from GARP/PRM from PRMIA
- Graduate in any discipline CA/ICWA/MBA (Finance) or equivalent will be preferred.
- Graduate in any discipline from a recognized university/institution.
- B.E.(CS/IT)/B.Tech. (CS/IT)/ MCA/M. Tech (CS/IT)/B.Sc. (CS/IT)/ M.Sc. (CS/IT)
Age Limit for NHB Recruitment 2024
- The recruitment for various positions has specified age limits as follows: The Chief Economist, whether on contract or deputation, must be below 62 years of age. For the role of General Manager (Scale VII), candidates should be between 40 and 55 years old.
- The Assistant General Manager (Scale V) position requires applicants to be aged 32 to 50 years. Candidates for the Deputy Manager (Scale II) position should be between 23 and 32 years old, while those applying for the Assistant Manager (Scale I) role should be 21 to 30 years old.
- The Senior Project Finance Officer (on contract) should be within the age range of 40 to 59 years, and the Project Finance Officer (on contract) must be 35 to 59 years old. Protocol Officer (on contract) candidates should be aged 50 to 62 years. Lastly, the Application Developer (on contract) role is open to individuals between 23 and 32 years old.
Pay Scale for NHB Recruitment 2024
The officer to be appointed on deputation she/he shall opt to either draw the salary, perquisites and other benefits of their parent organization plus applicable deputation allowance or pay, perquisites and other benefits as applicable TEG Scale – VII (GM) in National Housing Bank.

Selection Process for NHB Recruitment 2024
- Online examination will consist of both Objective and Descriptive Tests. Objective Tests for 200 marks will be of 3 hours duration consisting of 4 sections. The objective test will have separate timing for each section.
- Descriptive Test is a test of English Language for 25 marks. Test will be of 30 minutes duration consisting of two parts Letter Writing and Essay. Candidates will have to answer Descriptive Test by typing on the computer. Descriptive Test will commence immediately after completion of the Objective Test. Descriptive Test is of qualifying nature and candidates have to secure minimum score in the Descriptive Test. Evaluation of Descriptive Test paper is subject to candidate attaining minimum marks in Objective Test.
