National Chemical Laboratory (NCL) has released a recruitment notification for 2024, announcing vacancies for Project Associate-I and Senior Project Associate positions. Candidates with a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering/Technology or an M.Sc in Organic or Analytical Chemistry are eligible to apply.
Candidates applying for the Senior Project Associate position require a minimum of four years' R&D experience or an ME/M.Tech with two years' experience, or a Doctoral Degree in a related field. The roles involve tasks such as catalyst design, process development, and kinetic modeling.
Successful applicants for Project Associate-I will receive a salary of Rs. 31,000 plus HRA (for NET/GATE qualified) or Rs. 25,000 plus HRA (for others), while Senior Project Associates will earn Rs. 42,000 plus HRA. Project Associate-l
- Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering/Technology, M.Sc in Organic Chemistry/Analytical chemistry from a recognized University or equivalent
Senior Project Associate
- Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering /Technology/M.Sc in Organic Chemistry/Analytical Chemistry from recognized University or Equivalent & Four(04) year's experience in Research and Development in Industrial or Academic Institute or Science and Technology Organizations or scientific activities and services
- ME. M.Tech in Chemical Engineering or Technology from a recognized University or Equivalent with Two(02) years of experience in R&D in industrial or Academic Institute or S&T organization and Scientific activities and services
- Doctoral Degree in Science/Engineering/Technology from recognized University or Equivalent
Salary Details for NCL Recruitment 2024
Project Associate-l
- Rs. 31,000/- + HRA to Scholars who are selected through (a) National Eligibility Tests-CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship(Assistant Professorship) or GATE or (b) A selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions.
- 25,000/- + HRA for others who do not

- Rs. 42,000/- + HRA

Selection Process for NCL Recruitment 2024
- Shortlisted candidate will be informed via email on or before 13/05/2024 Interview will be conducted on 15/05/2024 from 09:00 AM onward.
- The prescribed educational qualifications are a bare minimum and merely possessing of same will not entitle candidates to be called for interview. Where number of convenien or possil in interie thin candidates.
- Based on she recommendation of the Screening Committee, the Project Leader may restrict the number of candidates to be called for interview to reasonable limits after taking into consideration qualifications and experience over and above the minimum qualifications prescribed in the Notice.
- Therefore, it will be in the interest of the candidates, to mention all the qualifications and experience in the relevant field on date of advertise.

- No interview call letter will be issued separately. No TA/DA will be admissible for appearing for the interview. Selected candidates will have to join duty immediately on receipt of the offer of engagement.

- The engagement will be initially for a period of six months which may be extended or curtailed depending on the duration of the tenure of sponsored project / satisfactory performance or conduct of the appointee, as the case may be.
