NCCS (National Centre for Cell Science) is conducting walk-in interviews on June 3, 2024, for multiple positions including Research Associate, Project Associate - I, and Project Associate - II in Pune, Maharashtra. There are a total of 9 vacancies available, offering a salary range from Rs. 20,000 to Rs. 47,000 depending on the position.
Candidates applying for Research Associate - I should possess a Ph.D. or equivalent degree with relevant research experience, while Project Associate - II requires a Master's degree with 2 years of experience. Project Associate - I requires a Master's degree with at least 1 year of research experience, and Project Assistant requires a B.Sc. or Diploma in Engineering & Technology.

Qualifications Details for NCCS Recruitment 2024
Research Associate - I:
- Ph. D/MD/MS/MDS or equivalent degree or having 3 years of research, teaching and design and development experience after MVSc/M.Pharm/ME/M.Tech with at least one research paper in Science Citation Indexed (SCI) journal.
- Experience in Immunology (Flow cytometry, immune-staining, immune -histochemisty, H and E staining), mouse handling and cell biology (cell culture, cell based assays).
- Experience in molecular biology (PCR, Cloning, protein expression, western blotting, Fluorescence In-Situ Hybridisation, Immuno-precipitation, cell fractionation), bioinformatics and/or RNA biology (In-vitro transcription/translation, RNA FISH, RNA pull down).
Project Associate - II:
- Master’s Degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences / MVSc or bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology or Medicine from a recognized University or equivalent; And 2 years’ experience in Research and Development in Industrial and Academic Institutions or Science and Technology Organisations and Scientific activities and services.
- Experience in Molecular biology, cell culture, fly genetics and behaviour, CRISPR/Cas9 based gene editing, immunocytochemistry, microscopy.
- This project is time bound with the deliverables, and applicants are expected to have experience in handling animals (mice), Immunological assay, primary T cell isolation and culture, ELISA, multicolour flow cytometry and confocal microscopy and Western blots.
Project Associate - I:
- Master’s Degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences / MVSc or bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology or Medicine from a recognized University or equivalent;
- A minimum of one year research experience in Animal Cell Culture, Molecular Biology and / or Cell Biology.
- Experience working with Drosophila, including genetic and behavioural experiments.
Project Assistant:
- B.Sc. / 3 years Diploma in Engineering & Technology.
- Candidate with strong background in Cell Biology, Biochemistry and Molecular Biology techniques will be preferred. Candidate with prior experience in C. elegans genetics and cell biology will be given preference
Age Limit for NCCS Recruitment 2024
- Research Associate - I: Not more than 40 years as on last date of application
- Project Associate - II: Not more than 35 years as on last date of application.
- Project Assistant: Not more than 50 years as on last date of application.
Pay Scale for NCCS Recruitment 2024
- Research Associate - I: Rs. 47000 + HRA
- Project Associate - II: Rs. 28000/- + HRA
- Project Associate - II: 35,000/- + HRA to Scholars who are selected through (a) National Eligibility Tests – CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE or (b) A selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions. 28000/- + HRA for others who do not fall under (i) above.
- Project Associate - I: Rs. 31000/- + HRA to Scholars who are selected through (a) National Eligibility Tests – CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE or (b) A selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions. Rs. 25000/- + HRA for others who do not fall under (i) above.
- Project Assistant: Rs. 20000/- + HRA

Please ensure punctuality by arriving at 09:30 am sharp at the following address: National Centre for Cell Science, NCCS Complex, Savitribai Phule Pune University Campus, Ganeshkhind Road Pune - 411007, Maharashtra State, India. It's essential for interviewees to register their names at the Security Gate upon arrival.
- Interview Dates: 3rd June 2024. Candidates arriving after 09:30 am will not be allowed to attend the interview.
- Should the number of candidates be high, interviews may extend to 4th June 2024.
