The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) is recruiting for the position of Additional Director General (ADG) on a deputation basis in New Delhi. The position, newly created and under the Ministry of Home Affairs, requires officers from All India Services or other Group 'A' Central Services. Applicants must hold an analogous post or be approved for appointment at Level-15 of the pay matrix.
They should possess 12 years of experience in enforcement of regulatory laws, investigation of economic and criminal offences, and intelligence gathering. The maximum age limit for applicants is 58 years. Interested candidates must apply offline by August 1, 2024, through the prescribed proforma, submitting required documents including APARs, cadre clearance, vigilance clearance, integrity certificate, and a statement of disciplinary record.

Qualification for NCB Recruitment 2024
As per one time permission granted by UPSC to fill up the vacancy of newly created post of ADG in NCB, the post is to be filled on deputation basis from the Officers of All India Services and Officers of other Group 'A' Central Services:-
(a) i) holding analogous post on regular basis in the parent cadre or department; or (ii) approved for appointment in Level-15 of pay matrix or equivalent in Government of India.
(b) possessing the following experience:- (i) 12 years' experience in enforcement of regulatory laws, investigation of economic and criminal offences and collection of intelligence relating thereto.
Pay Scale for NCB Recruitment 2024
It is proposed to fill up 01 (one) newly created post of Additional Director General (ADG) in Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) under the Ministry of Home Affairs on deputation basis. The post is in the revised pay matrix level 15 of the CCS (RP) Rules, 2016.
Age Limit for NCB Recruitment 2024
The maximum age limit for appointment on deputation shall not exceed 58 years as on the closing date of receipt of application. Officers on the verge of promotion/superannuation need not apply. The incomplete application or those received after the last date shall not be entertained. The officer, who is selected for the said post, shall not be allowed to withdraw his/her candidature.

Applications of willing and eligible officers, whose services can be spared without delay in the event of their selection, may be forwarded in the prescribed proforma alongwith the following documents so as to reach this Ministry within 6(Six weeks from the date of issue of this circular or publication of advertisement in Employment News, whichever is later:
(i) Attested copies of APARs for the last 5 (five years and preferably up to 2022-2023 duly attested by an officer not below the rank of Under Secretary to the Government of India or equivalent,
(ii) Cadre Clearance from the State Government as well as from Cadre Controlling Authority incorporating that in the event of his/her selection, he/she will be relieved to join the post of Additional Director General in NCB on deputation basis.
(iii) Vigilance Clearance Certificate as per proforma,
(iv) Integrity Certificate,
(v) A certificate to the effect that no Major/Minor Penalty has been imposed upon the candidate during the last 10 (ten) years.
