Quality Control Laboratory MPEDA, Kochi is an NABL accredited (ISO 17025: 2017) laboratory testing fish and fishery products for various chemical and biological parameters. The Laboratory invites applications from young and meritorious Indian Nationals to be engaged as Apprentices for period of Six Months.
The Marine Products Export Development Authority (MPEDA) has announced a recruitment drive for the position of Apprentice at its Quality Control lab in Kochi, with two available vacancies. Candidates who have completed a postgraduate degree in Microbiology, Marine Microbiology, or Biotechnology are eligible to apply. The selected apprentices will receive a monthly stipend of Rs. 5,000, and the training period will last six months. Applications must be submitted by email, including a filled-out application form, passport-sized photo, and mark sheets, in PDF format to [email protected]. The subject line of the email should read "Application for Apprenticeship in MPEDA QC lab."
Applicants must ensure that all provided information is accurate, as any deviation or non-conformity with the qualifications will lead to immediate disqualification. The deadline for application submission is 10 days from the date the advertisement was published. Selected candidates will be required to provide a medical certificate, original documents, and bank details upon joining. It is important to note that the apprenticeship does not guarantee future employment with MPEDA. Additionally, MPEDA reserves the right to modify the number of seats or withdraw the advertisement if necessary.

- Application form can be downloaded from the websitewww.mpeda.gov.in Candidates are required to fill the Application form by Typing, Affix the Passport size photograph and sign in the Application Form. The scanned copy of filled Application Form and mark sheets of essential qualifications in PDF format must be sent through e-mail only ([email protected]).
- Mention "Application for Apprenticeship in MPEDA QC lab" as subject of the email.
- Incomplete or partially filled application, or those without supporting documents submitted by the candidates will be summarily rejected.
- Last date for the receipt of application: 10 Days from publication of the advertisement.
- All correspondence including offer letter (if selected) will be communicated through email only.
Note for MPEDA Recruitment 2024
- Before applying, the candidate should ensure that he/she fulfils the eligibility criteria and other norms mentioned in the advertisement.
- The period of training will be six months commencing from date of joining.
- Verification of credentials shall be done and in case of any deviation or non-conformity with the desired qualification, candidature of the candidate shall be summarily rejected.
- Suppression of facts will lead to disqualification at any stage of the selection process.
- Selected candidates shall submit medical certificate from registered medical practitioner, original certificates, along with copies of Bank Passbook and 2 recent passport size photographs at the time of joining.
- The offer of Apprenticeship Training does not confer any right of employment in MPEDA.
- MPEDA reserves the right to increase/decrease the number of seats for apprenticeship training.
- Any canvassing or personal follow up with the intention of influencing the process of selection of Apprentice by and on behalf of any candidate shall lead to immediate disqualification of his/her candidature.
- MPEDA reserves the right to withdraw/cancel the advertisement/selection process if circumstances so warrant without assigning any reason thereof.
- The apprentices will NOT be provided any sort of accommodation or transportation by MPEDA at any stage of the selection process, and also during the apprentice training period.
