The Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology (MNNIT) Allahabad has released a recruitment notification for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) on a contractual basis under the project "Regional Center for Geodesy (RCG) at MNNIT Allahabad," funded by NRDMS, DST.

The position offers a consolidated salary of ₹31,000 per month plus 16% HRA. Applicants must hold an M.Tech or equivalent degree in disciplines such as GIS & Remote Sensing, Civil Engineering, Computer Science, etc., with a minimum of 60% marks or CPI 6.5. Alternatively, candidates with an M.Sc or equivalent degree in specified fields with 75% marks or CPI 8.0 are eligible.

Applications, including a detailed CV and supporting documents, must reach the Research & Consultancy Cell, MNNIT Allahabad by July 4, 2024. The selection process will involve shortlisting based on merit, followed by an interview, either in-person or via MS Teams, depending on COVID-19 conditions. The institute reserves the right to reject applications and may relax qualifications for outstanding candidates.

• M.Sc. or equivalent degree in GIS & Remote Sensing/Applied Geology/ Geophysics/Geography/ Environmental Science/Computer Science/Mathematics with minimum marks 75% or CPI 8.0 .
• Degree in Master of Computer Application with minimum marks 75% or CPI 8.0 or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with a minimum of 75% marks or CPI 8.0.

• 28 years as on the last date of application (The upper age limit is relaxable upto 5 years in the case of SC/ST/OBC/PwD or Female candidates).

Selection Process For MNNIT Allahabad Recruitment 2024

• Shortlisted Candidates will be informed by e-mail about the interview dates. So, they must provide their valid Email IDs in their applications.
• Shortlisted candidates have to present themselves for the interview on the interview date with updated CV and original and attested photocopies of mark sheets/ certificates in support of their academic qualifications. However, considering the current situation of COVID-19, the Interviews may also be conducted via online mode on MS Teams.

• Applications are invited from Indian nationals for the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) (on contract) in research project entitled “Regional Center for Geodesy (RCG) at MNNIT Allahabad” funded by NRDMS, DST. The duly completed application on prescribed format along with copies of supporting documents must reach to: Research & Consultancy Cell, Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology Allahabad, Prayagraj-211004 on or before 4.07.2024.
• The envelope should be superscripted as “Application for the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) (on contract) in the Research Project “Regional Center for Geodesy (RCG) at MNNIT Allahabad” A soft copy of the application form compressed with all qualifications documents should also be sent to Dr. Ramji Dwivedi, Assistant Professor, GIS Cell & Principal Investigator and Coordinator, RCG through email [email protected] The position is purely temporary and will be governed by the Funding agency rules and service conditions of Research & Consultancy Cell, MNNIT Allahabad.
• The applicant will be responsible for the authenticity of information, other documents and photographs submitted.
• The Institute reserves the right to reject application at any time and consider candidates of exceptional credentials without applications.
• Qualification and experience may be relaxed by the Institute at any point of time for otherwise exceptional candidates.
• Mere possessing the prescribed qualification does not ensure that the candidate would be called for Interview.
• The Candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of merit and need of the project.
• Applicants in employment (private, government or any other organization) are required to submit a “No Objection Certificate” from the employer at the time of interview.
• No TA/DA will be paid for appearing in the interview (if conducted in physical mode).
