The Permanent Mission of India (PMI) to the World Trade Organization (WTO) in Geneva is seeking a qualified individual to fill the position of Research Officer. The vacancy entails a General Central Service Group "A", Gazetted, Ministerial classification with a scale of pay at Level-10 (Rs. 56100-177500).

The maximum age limit for deputation appointment is 56 years. Eligible candidates must meet specific criteria, including holding an analogous post on a regular basis in the parent cadre or Department, or having two to three years of service at designated pay levels in the parent cadre or Department, along with a minimum of three years' experience in the field of international trade and trade policies.

Additionally, candidates must have completed an online e-learning or academic course on international trade conducted by the WTO. Interested officers are required to submit their applications in triplicate through proper channels within 45 days of the advertisement's publication in the Employment News, accompanied by necessary documents, including attested copies of their Annual Performance Appraisal Reports (APARs/ACRs) for the last five years, an integrity certificate, and a cadre clearance.

Officers under the Central Government:

• Holding analogous post on a regular basis in the parent cadre or Department; or
• with two years' service rendered after appointment to the post on a regular basis in Level-8 in the Pay Matrix (Rs. 47600-151100) or equivalent in the parent cadre or Department; or
• with three years' service rendered after appointment to the post on a regular basis in level-7 in the Pay Matrix (Rs. 44900-142400) or equivalent in the parent cadre or Department; and
• Possessing three years experience in the field of International trade and trade policies and have completed on-line e-learning course or academic course on international trade conducted by World Trade Organisation (WTO) or similar organisation.

• It is requested that the above vacancy may be circulated to all concerned in the Ministry/Department and eligible offices. The applications of suitable officers, who can be spared in the event of their selection, may be forwarded through proper channel, in the prescribed proforma, in triplicate, along with photo copies of APAR/ACRs of the applicants for the last five years, duly attested by an officer not below the rank of Under Secretary or equivalent; a certificate from the employer that no disciplinary/vigilance case is either pending or being contemplated against the officer; a statement indicating the details of major/minor penalties, if any, imposed on the officer during the last 10 years; (iv) Integrity Certificate duly signed by the competent authority; and Cadre Clearance by name to the undersigned within the period of 45 days from the date of publication of the advertisement in the Employment News.
• It may also be made clear that the officer, who volunteers for the post, will not be allowed to withdraw his/her candidature subsequently. Applications received after the last date or without confidential reports and other requisite documents or otherwise found incomplete will not be considered.
