Online applications are being invited through the Meghalaya Police website, megpolice.gov.in, from eligible Indian citizens to fill various vacancies in the Meghalaya Police force. The recruitment process will adhere to the Revised Uniform Guidelines for Recruitment of Police Personnel in Meghalaya Police, as outlined in the official memorandum dated December 1, 2023.
Candidates are advised to refer to the police departmental website for necessary information. The mode of application is strictly online, and applications will be accepted from April 1, 2024, onwards. The deadline for submitting online applications is April 30, 2024.
Each applicant is required to pay an application fee of Rs.150 through the designated payment gateway, with applicable service charges borne by the candidates. Reservation policies apply, with 40% reserved for Khasi/Jaintia candidates, 40% for Garo candidates, 5% for Other Tribes of Meghalaya and Scheduled caste, and 15% for the Open Category. Additionally, 10% of existing vacancies are reserved for women candidates, except for posts specifically indicated for males, as per the Meghalaya Police (Amendment) Act, 2018.

- UB Sub-Inspector: Bachelor's Degree in any stream from a recognized University.
- Unarmed Branch Constable / Fireman / Driver Fireman/ MPRO Operator / Signal Operator/ Fireman Mechanic/ Mechanic: 10+2 (passed) (Twelve)
- Armed Branch Constable / Battalion Constable/ Driver Constable/ Handyman Constable: Class IX (passed) (Nine)
Age Limit for Meghalaya Police Recruitment 2024
- UB Sub-Inspector: 21-27 years
- Unarmed Branch Constable / Fireman / Driver Fireman/ MPRO Operator / Signal Operator/ Fireman Mechanic/ Mechanic: 18 to 21 years

Application Fee for Meghalaya Police Recruitment 2024
- The Application fee for each post shall be Rs. 150/- (Rupees One hundred and fifty) which should be paid through the payment gateway which will be indicated accordingly.
How to Apply for Meghalaya Police Recruitment 2024
- Online Applications are invited through the Meghalaya Police Website megpolice.gov.in from eligible candidates who are Indian Citizens to fill up the under-mentioned categories of vacancies in the Meghalaya Police.
- The application must be submitted online through the Meghalaya Police website.
- Online Application forms will be made available with effect from 1st April 2024 onwards. The entire recruitment process will be conducted as per the Revised Uniform Guidelines for Recruitment of Police Personnel in Meghalaya Police vide OM No. HPL.231/2023/60, dtd. Shillong, the 1st December, 2023. Candidates are advised to check on the Police Departmental website megpolice.gov.in for necessary reference.
