Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has released a new recruitment notification for the position of Consultant in New Delhi, with one vacancy available. The applicant should be an Indian national and have previously worked in an analogous position in the Ministry of External Affairs or any other Ministry of Government of India or its autonomous bodies on a regular basis.
Retired individuals from the Ministry of External Affairs or other Government of India Ministries or its autonomous bodies, at the level of Deputy Secretary/Under Secretary, are eligible to apply. Experience in financial and/or administrative sections of MEA or other Government of India Ministries/Departments or autonomous organizations headquarters is required. The remuneration package will be as per prevailing Government of India norms, and the engagement will be strictly contractual without conferring any additional benefits.
The selected candidate will be posted in prestigious government buildings in New Delhi, such as South Block, Jawaharlal Nehru Bhawan, and others. Applicants must be under 63 years of age and in good health. The selection process will involve application review, shortlisting, and interviews, with the final decision resting with the Government. Qualification for MEA Recruitment 2024
- The applicant should be an Indian national.
- The applicant should have worked in the Ministry of External Affairs or any other Ministry of GoI or its autonomous bodies in analogous position on a regular basis.
- Applicant should have retired from the Ministry of External Affairs or other GoI Ministries or its autonomous bodies, at the level of Deputy Secretary/Under Secretary.
- Experience in MEA or other GoI Ministries/Department or other autonomous organizations headquarters in financial and /or administrative sections.
Pay Scale for MEA Recruitment 2024
• The remuneration package will be as per prevailing GoI norms. The amount of consultancy fee so fixed shall remain unchanged during the term of engagement.
• The engagement will be strictly contractual and will not confer any other benefits to the selected candidates.
• The consultant shall not be entitled to any benefit like Provident Fund, Pension, Gratuity, Medical Attendance Treatment, Seniority, Promotion etc. or any other benefits available to the regular employees of the Ministry.
• No HRA shall be admissible.

• Applicants will have to make their own arrangements to reach the place of interview
• No TA/DA will be payable by the Ministry to Applicants for attending interview.
• The final selection will be based on their performance at the interview.
• The decision of the Government regarding selection of candidate will be final.

• Documents / certificates in support of educational qualifications, experience in Govt. service should be attached with the application.

• The last date for receiving applications is 25th April, 2024 (1730 hrs).
• Applications received after the closing date or without the prescribed documents or otherwise found incomplete or not in the prescribed proforma will be rejected and no correspondence shall be entertained in this regard.
