Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL), a subsidiary of Coal India Limited, invites applications from qualified and experienced medical professionals (specialists) including retired medical executives of CIL, other PSUs, Government organizations, and Private practitioners for engagement as Medical Specialists Consultant (Specialization Name) on 3 hourly contract basis twice a week on fixed tenure for a period of two year.
The contract may be extended for another one year depending upon requirement and satisfactory performance.

Position, Vacancy for MCL Recruitment 2024
Post Name: Medical Specialists Consultant (Specialization Name)
Total Number of Posts: 21
Qualification for MCL Recruitment 2024
MBBS from recognized Institute/College approved by Medical Council of India with recognized Post Graduate Degree/DNB/Post Graduate Diploma. BDS are not eligible.
Retired Medical Specialists and Retired GDMOs(with specialized qualification) of CIL / Subsidiary - Same as per CIL Policy a) Retired Medical Executives of CIL/ Subsidiaries would be considered for engagement only if they satisfy the following conditions:-
i. Should have scored minimum 'Good' ratings in the last 5 years of service.
ii. Should not have been awarded with any punishment under CDA Rules of the Company in the last 5 years of service.
iii. Should not have been involved with any corruption or illegal gratification or in any criminal case during the entire service period and post-retirement.
In case of outside candidates – He / She must have 15 years of experience in that Specialization (with declaration by self).
Pay Scale for MCL Recruitment 2024
- Remuneration: The consolidated honorarium shall be paid for each session of 3 hours is Rs 8000.00/-
- TA/DA: No TA/DA shall be admissible as the engagement is purely local in nature
- Accommodation Facility: No accommodation shall be provided
- Leave: Medical Consultants who are engaged on an hourly basis are not entitled to any paid leave
- Medical: All retired Executives of CIL/ Subsidiaries covered under the Contributory Post Retirement Medicare Scheme (CPRMSE) will continue to be governed by the said scheme during their period of engagement as consultants.
- Consultants who were not on the roll of CIL/ Subsidiaries will be entitled to medical facilities for themselves & spouse as per the Coal India Medical Attendance Rules (MAR) during their period of engagement at CIL Hospitals & Dispensaries only and not in CIL empanelledhospitals i.e., no referral
Age Limit for MCL Recruitment 2024
Maximum Age Limit: Not more than 70 years during the period of Contract.
Selection Procedure for MCL Recruitment 2024
- The applicants fulfilling eligibility criteria and other conditions as per notification shall be shortlisted and invited for interview for final selection. No TA will be paid to any candidate for appearing in interview/selection process.
- MCL reserves the right to short-list candidates for interview/selection process. No TA will be paid to any candidate for appearing interview/selection process.
