A Walk-in-interview for contractual engagement of 1 (one) Senior Research Fellow (SRF) at Kalimpong Krishi Vigyan Kendra under ICAR sponsored Project "National Innovation in Climate Resilient Agriculture (NICRA) will be held as per details below:

The KVK Kalimpong is inviting applications for a walk-in interview for the position of Senior Research Fellow (SRF) under the ICAR-sponsored project "National Innovation in Climate Resilient Agriculture (NICRA)." The interview is scheduled for 21 October 2024, at the Kalimpong Krishi Vigyan Kendra, West Bengal. There is one vacancy available, with a maximum age limit of 35 years for male candidates and 40 years for female candidates as of the interview date. Eligible candidates must hold an M.Sc. in Agriculture or Horticulture, or a related field, and have NET qualifications along with two years of research experience after obtaining their master’s degree.

This position is temporary and will remain valid as long as the project is viable, and selected candidates will not have a claim to regular appointments within the university. Candidates are encouraged to have a good understanding of hill agriculture and two years of experience in research or extension projects in agriculture or rural development, preferably in hill areas. Please note that no travel or daily allowances will be provided for attending the interview.

Qualification for KVK Kalimpong Recruitment 2024

• M.Sc. (Ag)/M.Sc. (Hort.). Candidates of any other subject cognate to the above- mentioned discipline may apply. Candidates having 3-years Bachelor's degree followed by 2 years master's degree must have NET qualifications and 2 years of research experience after M. Sc.
• Desirable qualification and experience: Candidates should have good knowledge of hill agriculture. Two years' working experience in research/extension projects in the field of agriculture/rural development or allied sectors (experience to get degree will not be counted). Work experience in the hill areas will be preferred.

• Engagement is purely temporary and will continue till the project remains viable.
• Selected candidates will not be entitled to claim for regular appointment absorption in any vacant post of any project or any establishment of the University.
• No TA/DA will be provided to the appearing candidates.
