Qualification for KUFOS Recruitment 2024
Faculty Of Ocean Science And Technology
- Biostatistics : Good academic record with at least 55% marks (or equivalent grade) at the Master's Degree inBiostatistics/Statistics.
- UGC/ICAR-NET/SLET in relevant discipline.
- Mathematics : Good academic record with at least 55% marks (or equivalent grade) at the Master's Degree in Mathematics/ Statistics. UGC/ICAR-NET/SLET in relevant disciplines.
- Statistics : Good academic record with at least 55% marks (or equivalent grade) at the Master's Degree in Statistics/ Mathematics or its equivalent, UGC/ICAR-NET/SLET in relevant discipline.
- Remote Sensing & GIS : Good academic record with at least 55% marks (or equivalent grade) at the Master's Degree in Remote Sensing & GIS/Geoinformatics/Geospatial Science/Earth Science/ Environmental Science/ Oceanography/ Integrated Coastal Zone Management or its equivalent. UGC/ICAR NET/SLET in relevant discipline
- Climate Science : Good academic record with at least 55% marks (or equivalent grade) at the Masters Degree in Climate Science/ Meteorology/ Atmospheric Science. UGC/ICAR NET/SLET in relevant discipline.
- Computer Programming : Good academic record with at least 55% (or equivalent Grade) in MSc. Computer Science/MCA/BTech/MTech or any relevant subject
- PhD and Teaching in the above subject area
Faculty Of Fisheries Engineering
- English Language : As per UGC 2018 guidelines; A good academic record with Masters Degree in English with NET or Ph.D in English Studies/ English Linguistics/ English Language Teaching
- Food Safety and Quality Assurance : As per UGC 2018 guidelines; A good academic record with M.Tech Food Safety and Quality Assurance/M.Tech Food Safety and Quality Management. MSc General Microbiology and NET or Ph.D/M.Sc.Food Microbiology and NET or Ph.D.
- Engineering Mathematics : As per UCC 2018 guidelines; A good academic record with Under Graduate Degree in Science/ Engineering & Post Graduate Degree in Mathematics/ Statistics/ Applied Mathematics.
- Ocean Engineering/ Coastal and Harbour Engineering : B.E/B.Tech/B.S and M.E/ M.Tech/ M.S or Integrated M.Tech with First class or equivalent
- Ph.D is essential in Ocean Engineering/Coastal & Harbour Engineering/Coastal & Harbour Structure related fields.
- Masters in Ocean Engineering/Marine Structures/Coastal And Harbour
- Engineering/Computer Aided Structural Analysis and Design/Structural Engineering/Dredging and Harbour Engineering/Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering/ Ocean and Coastal Safety Structures/ Ocean Structural Engineering/Dredging Engineering/Offshore Technology /Offshore Engineering From ICAR/ AICTE/UGC approved/ accredited colleges/Universities.

General Instructions for KUFOS Recruitment 2024
- The clearing of NET/SLET/SET shall not be required for candidates in such disciplines for which NET/SLET/SET has not been conducted. In shortage of candidates with NET, candidates those who have no NET shall be considered as per the norms stipulated according to the decision of the university authorities.
- Guidelines issued by UGC from time to time shall be incorporated accordingly.
- A relaxation of 5% shall be allowed at the Bachelor's as well as at the Master's level for the candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe/Other Backward Classes (OBC)(Non-creamy Layer) / Differently Abled Blindness and low vision; Deaf and Hard of Hearing; Locomotor disability including cerebral palsy, leprosy cured, dwarfism, acid-attack victims and muscular dystrophy; Autism, intellectual disability, specific learning disability and mental illness; Multiple disabilities from amongst persons including deaf-blindness for the purpose of eligibility and assessing good academic record for direct recruitment.
- The eligibility marks of 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever the grading system is followed) and the relaxation of 5% to the categories mentioned above are permissible, based only on the qualifying marks without including any grace mark procedure.
- A relaxation of 5% shall be provided, (from 55% to 50% of the marks) to the Ph.D. Degree holders who have obtained their Master's Degree prior to19 September, 1991.
Selection Procedure for KUFOS Recruitment 2024
