Qualification for KIOCL Limited Recruitment 2024
Geophysicist
- M.Sc. / M. Tech. / M.Sc. Tech. (Geophysics/Applied Geophysics)/ Exploration Geophysics / M.Tech. (Geophysical Technology) or equivalent degree from a University / Institute / Board approved or recognized by Government of India/ UGC/ AICTE/ appropriate Statutory Authority.
- Candidates should have obtained a minimum - 60% marks or 6.0 CGPA or equivalent (aggregate of all semesters / years) for General & EWS categories - 50% marks or 5.0 CGPA or equivalent (aggregate of all semesters / years) for SC, ST OBC candidates
- Candidate should have Minimum of 05 years post qualification relevant experience in Geophysical survey works in following areas;
- Data Acquisition - the generation and recording of data.
- Data Processing - plotting data and checking and correcting for errors / peaks.
- Data Interpretation - the analysis and evaluation of geophysical data.
- Desirable: Having handheld experience in operation of Gravity Meters, Magnetometers and Geosoft software, seismic for carrying out works related to Geophysical Mapping works of Mineral Exploration.
- Should have good analytical and communication skills.
- Should have strong computer skills and computer literacy, experience using exploration software (technical) packages and application.
Geologist
- A postgraduate degree in Geological Science or Geology or Applied Geology or Geo-exploration or Mineral Exploration granted by a University established or incorporated by or under a Central Act, or a State Act, in India or educational Institution established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed university under the University Grants Commission established under UGC Act, 1956 (3 of 1956) / AICTE / appropriate Statutory Authority
- Candidates should have obtained a minimum - 60% marks or 6.0 CGPA or equivalent (aggregate of all semesters / years) for General & EWS categories - 50% marks or 5.0 CGPA or equivalent (aggregate of all semesters / years) for SC, ST OBC candidates
- Candidate should have minimum 5 years of post-qualification experience in Geological / structural field mapping works, Sampling works, Bore- hole planning, Detailed core logging Collection of samples, core orientation, preparation of logging data sheets / records, knowledge of sampling techniques, analytical procedures and working of mineral geochemistry laboratory Interpretation, assimilation of geological / geophysical data and geochemical data, Geo- modelling of the exploration area.
- Preparation of Mineral Exploration Reports.
- Should have good analytical and communication skills, good knowledge of geology. Should have strong computer skills and computer literacy, experience using exploration software (technical) packages and application.
Asst.Geologist

- BE or BTech in Civil/Mining Engineering or Diploma in Civil Engineering / Mining or Mine Surveying Engineering Candidates should have obtained a minimum - 60% marks or 6.0 CGPA (aggregate of all semesters / years) for General & EWS categories - 50% marks or 5.0 CGPA (aggregate of all semesters / years) for SC, ST, OBC categories
- Valid Mine Surveyor’s Certificate of Competency under MMR 1961 issued by DGMS, Dhanbad
- Minimum 05 post Educational Qualification working experience for Engineers / 10 years post Educational Qualification working experience for Diploma holders respectively in following;
- Surveying in mineral bearing area/ mineral exploration sites / Mining / infrastructure projects.
- Experience in handling the Total Station/ DGPS Survey system.
- Experience in draughtsmanship and drawing to prepare plans/ sections.
- Processing of soft data in either direction from table top to field and field to table top is desirable
- Experience in preparation of maps /sections, statutory plans for open cast mines ▪
- Software skills in AutoCAD / AutoDESK / DraftSight
- A good team player with good computer skills, written and oral communication skills.
- Knowledge of survey software, CAD software, ERP and understanding of MMR 1961 , Rules, Regulations & Guidelines
