The Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research (JIPMER) is inviting applications for the position of Director. The role requires a high postgraduate qualification in Medicine, Surgery, Public Health, or their branches, with at least ten years of teaching or research experience and twenty-five years of professional standing.
Candidates must have extensive practical and administrative experience in medical relief, research, education, or public health organization, and experience in leading a significant scientific educational institution. The position, located in Puducherry, offers a Level-17 pay scale as per the 7th CPC, including a fixed salary of ₹2,25,000 plus a 20% non-practicing allowance, with total pay not exceeding ₹2,37,500. Additionally, residential accommodation and other allowances are provided.
Applicants must be under 60 years old, with age relaxations for certain candidates. Qualification for JIPMER Recruitment 2024
- A high postgraduate qualification in Medicine or Surgery or Public Health and their branches.
- Teaching and, or research experience of not less than ten years.
- Twenty-five years standing in the profession.
- Extensive practical and administrative experience in the field of medical relief, medical research, medical education or public health organization and adequate experience of running an important scientific educational institution either as its Head or Head of a Department.
Pay Scale for JIPMER Recruitment 2024
- Level-17 as per 7th CPC [₹2,25,000 (fixed) plus non-practicing allowance of 20% of basic pay; Pay plus NPA does not exceed ₹2,37,500].
- Residential accommodation will be provided in the Institute’s campus on payment of license fee at standard rate under F.R. 45 or 10% of pay, whichever is less. c) Other allowances as admissible.
Age Limit for JIPMER Recruitment 2024
Not exceeding sixty years. Relaxable for government servants or retired government servants or serving or retired persons from autonomous institutions or statutory institutions of state or central government or exceptionally qualified candidates.
General conditions for JIPMER Recruitment 2024
- Applicant must submit self-attested copies of certificates with regard to proof of age, educational qualifications, experience etc.
- Applicant must forward the application in the prescribed proforma along with the following documents through proper channel (wherever applicable):
- A certificate to the effect that the present employer/parent organization has “No Objection” to his/her applying for the post of Director, JIPMER so that, in case of selection, he/she will be relieved by the present employer/parent organization to join the post of Director, JIPMER.
- APARs of the applicant for the last five years. If any of the APARs is not available, then the APAR of the preceding year(s) must be submitted so that five APARs of the applicant are available. c) A certificate of Vigilance Clearance in respect of applicant duly signed by a competent authority.
- Age, qualification and experience will be computed as on the closing date for applications.
- Late and incomplete application will not be considered.
