The Department of Wildlife Protection, Government of Jammu and Kashmir is seeking applications for a Junior Research Fellow position for a sponsored project focused on biodiversity assessment, documentation, and conservation planning of wild flora and fauna, including the management plan for the Bani Wildlife Sanctuary.
The position is temporary for one year and requires candidates to hold a first-class M.Sc. in Environmental Science, Ecology, Botany, or related fields, with a preference for those with a background in plant ecology or taxonomy. Applicants must be NET qualified. The remuneration for the Junior Research Fellow is INR 37,000.00 per month plus 9% HRA. The upper age limit follows UGC norms.

Qualifications Details for Jammu University Recruitment 2024
Eligibility: First class M.Sc. in Environmental Science / Ecology / Botany / Biodiversity and allied, with 65% marks or CGPA / CPI grading of 6.84 on a 10 scale or equivalent. The candidates with background in plant ecology / taxonomy shall be preferred.
