Jadavpur University has issued a recruitment notification for the positions of Junior Research Fellow and Technical Assistant. The project, funded by the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), focuses on the value-added use of bottom ash from thermal power plants as a partial replacement for natural sand in concrete. The positions available are for two Junior Research Fellows and one Technical Assistant.
The salary for the Junior Research Fellow is Rs. 41,000 per month for 7 months (consolidated), and for the Technical Assistant, it is Rs. 18,000 per month (consolidated). Interested candidates can attend the walk-in interview scheduled for 24th May 2024 at the Seminar Room, DEAN FET office, Jadavpur University, Kolkata.

Position, Vacancy for Jadavpur University Recruitment 2024
A Walk in Interview for selection of Junior Research Fellow position in CPCB funded project titled "Study Proposal regarding value added use of bottom ash of thermal power plant as partial replacement of natural sand in concrete" from Central Pollution Control Board, Govt. of India under supervision of Dr. Partha Ghosh (Principal Investigator), Professor Construction Engineering Department, Jadavpur University will be held as per details given below:
- Junior Research Fellow: 2 (Two)
- Technical Assistant: 1 (One)
Qualification for Jadavpur University Recruitment 2024
Junior Research Fellow
- Qualification: BE/ BTech or ME/M tech in Civil/Construction Engineering (GATE qualified will be preferred), Age limit -35 years max.
- Experience: Candidates must have experience with Concrete Design mix related work along with different kind of bottom ash from coal based thermal power plant. He should help the Principal Investigator to complete the project work satisfactorily.
Technical Assistant
- Qualification: Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent or Science Graduate with good knowledge of reading and writing in English.
- Experience: Candidate must have experience with handling fly ash and bottom ash collection from coal based thermal power plant and its suitable applications along with experience with site mixing quality control with bottom ash.
Pay Scale for Jadavpur University Recruitment 2024
- Junior Research Fellow: Rs 41,000/= per month (for 7 months) [consolidated]|
- Technical Assistant: Rs 18,000/= per month [consolidated]
Age Limit for Jadavpur University Recruitment 2024
- Junior Research Fellow: Age limit is 35 years max.
- Technical Assistant: Age limit is Below 60 years.
