The IWAI Recruitment 2024 is inviting applications for various consultant roles, including Senior Consultant, Social Officer, and more, with a total of eight vacancies available across locations in Noida, Varanasi, and Patna. These positions offer competitive salaries ranging from Rs. 50,000 to Rs. 1,25,000 per month, depending on the role. The recruitment is aimed at experienced professionals with relevant qualifications in fields such as Engineering, Finance, Social Work, and Environmental Planning.

Candidates with experience in infrastructure projects, particularly in waterways and dredging, as well as familiarity with government procedures and World Bank projects, are encouraged to apply. The final selection is at the discretion of the Project Director, who reserves the right to accept or reject any application.

Qualifications Details for IWAI Recruitment 2024

Senior Consultant (Procurement)

• Engineering Graduate preferably with MBA/Degree in Economics
• At least five years' experience in engineering works of infrastructure projects (preferably waterway, irrigation, barrage ports or at least similar linear projects). Knowledge/understanding of national/international markets for Procurement. Experience in procurement for large projects in transportation, waterways with World Bank Funding. Familiarity with the working of State Governments, Central Government and the World Bank. Ability to understand technical drawings and sketches. Proficiency in use of Computers. Good communication skills (in English and local language).

Senior Consultant (Naval Architect)

• B. Tech (Mechanical/ Naval Architecture) from recognized and reputed institutes like IITs and NITs, etc
• M. Tech.in Naval Architecture/ Naval Construction from reputed Institutes
• At least 15 years’ experience in Ship Design, Ship Building in aMajor shipyard, Building of Ships, Ship repairs and/or FRP boats; Development of technical specifications for vessels; Contract Management; Project Management; Financial and contract negotiation and Technical Management of Vessels.

Consultant (Dredging Expert)

• Engineering Graduate in (Mechanical /Civil Engineering) from recognized university or Institute.
• Degree/diploma/certificate courses in dredging and harbour engineering or any relevant courses.
• Minimum 05 to 07 years of experience in major river dredging projects and having thorough knowledge of dredging operations, hydrographic survey, quantity survey, type of soil, dredgers, contract management and project management etc

Consultant (Fairway Management & Monitoring)

• Degree in Civil Engineering / Hydrography or Cat "B" Hydrographer / Associate Member of Institution of Surveyors in Sub division l(B)
• Post graduate degree or diploma in Hydrography / Geography / Pollution Management or relevant Hydrographic Survey courses etc.
• Minimum experience of 5 to 7 years in the IWT field related to civil works, fairway development, maintenance and hydrographic surveys, planning, execution and monitoring of IWT dredging’s activities etc.
• Knowledge of govt. sector working procedure and reporting’s, develop MIS, data analytics & management, capable provide ATN’s, parliamentary replies, VVIP references, RTI replies, reporting and compliances of ministry, PMO, VIPs, States, Departments and World Bank etc.

Specialist (Finance)

• Chartered Accountant/Cost Accountant or Graduate/ Post Graduate in Commerce/Economics/Statistics/Accounts/Management/MBA from recognized University or Institute.
• Minimum 3 years (Post qualification) in any Government organization or reputed large company, Knowledge of Financial and Accounting procedures, Familiarity with the working of State Govt., Central Govt. and the World Bank, Proficiency in use of Computers and Tally Accounting software, Good Communication Skills (in English and local language).

Social Officer

• Graduate/ Post Graduate Degree preferably in Social Work/Sociology/ Anthropology/Urban and Regional Planning.
• 3- 5 years in the areas of land acquisition process, involuntary resettlement, consultation and participation, socio-economic surveys, monitoring and evolution, etc.
• Knowledge/understanding of typical sociological impacts of large infrastructure projects; associated mitigation measures; and community consultation.

Civil Engineer

• Graduate in Civil Engineering preferably Post Graduate with specialization in structures/ hydraulics from any recognized university/institution, or AMIE from Institution of Engineers (India).
• 3-5 years’ experience in construction/ designing/planning/ supervision of Infrastructure Projects (preferably multimodal logistics parks, waterway, or similar projects).
• Experience in designing, planning for large projects of waterways development, cross river structure

Environment Officer

• Graduate/ Post Graduate Degree preferable in Environment Planning/Engineering/Sciences.
• 3-5 years in Environmental Impact Assessment of Infrastructure Projects (preferably waterway, highway, barrage or at least similar linear projects).
• Knowledge/understanding of typical environmental impacts; associated mitigation measures and community consultation.

Pay Scale for IWAI Recruitment 2024

• Senior Consultant (Procurement): Rs. 1,25,000/- plus Rs.3,600/- T.A. per month
• Senior Consultant (Naval Architect): Rs. 1,25,000/- plus Rs.3,600/- T.A. per month
• Consultant (Dredging Expert): Rs. 1,00,000/- plus Rs.3,600/- T.A. per month

Duties and responsibilities For IWAI Recruitment 2024

Senior Consultant (Procurement)

• Preparation of ToR and Bidding documents for Hiring of consultants for EIA, SIA and EMP Study.
• Preparation of ToR and Bidding documents for Hiring of consultants for preparation of Detailed Project Report (DPR), including Market Study and Business Development Strategy. • Assist in hiring of consultants and implementation agencies.
• Co-ordination during site assessment etc.
• Provide evaluation, oversight and co-ordination during preparation of DPRs by the Consultant.

Senior Consultant (Naval Architect)

• Prepare technical specifications of Tugs, Barges, Dredgers, Vessels andother items, which are to be acquired by the JMVP.
• Assist to identify/short list the vendor for purchase of aforesaid items.
• Suggest the ways and means to procure the best items at competitive rates.
• Assist to negotiate and finalise the contracts of purchase, contract management and release of payment strictly in accordance with the rules andagreement.

Consultant (Dredging Expert)

• Supervise and monitor all the Dredging activities as per the approved plans & programs of the Dredging Contract, to ensure execution in accordance with the terms, conditions, drawings, and specifications of the Dredging Contract.
• Supervise the execution of all dredging related activities included in the Dredging Contract in a time bound manner as specified and by considering the prevailing climatic conditions and site conditions.
• Ensure that all the works carried out under the dredging program fully comply with established codes & and contract documents.

Consultant (Fairway Management & Monitoring)

• MIS & data management, perform data analysis and ensuring compliances for efficient fairway development and maintenance projects of JMVP I & II
• Provide inputs for preparations of ATNs, reply for Parliamentary matters, VVIP references, RTI matters and timely compliances of ministry, states, departments and the World Bank etc.
• Assist in contract management for dredging projects, perform analysis of Hydrography Surveys data and reports etc.
• Quality assurance / quality control of Multi-beam Echo sounder survey data

Specialist (Finance)

• This assignment will involve frequent travel to project corridors, Project Implementation Units (PIUs).
• The Specialist would be responsible for, but not limited to, the following activities and would report to the Project Director and Project Manager/Project Finance Officer on daily basis.
• Preparation of finance and accounting manuals for PMU
• Scrutiny of financial proposals
• Preparation and compilation of Accounts, balance sheets and other statutory documents

Social Officer

• Setups, State Governments and its Departments, consultancy services and other individuals, who are involved in the implementation of the Project and have impact on the Project directly or indirectly.
• Ensuring and reviewing the performance of the Consultants implementing the RAP in disbursing compensation, assistances and other allowances to Project Affected Families as per the entitlement framework.
• Preparation of micro plans, preparation/distribution of Identity Cards, Verification of PAFs

Civil Engineer

• Reviewing feasibility studies / DPR’s and other technical documents.
• Advising on viability assessment, economic analysis, inputs in determining optimal technical configurations of projects.
• Provide technical inputs in preparation of Terms of Reference (ToR) and Bid documents for hiring of consultants and contractors.

Environment Officer

• This assignment will involve frequent travel to project corridors, affected villages, block and district headquarters.
• The Specialist will assist Project Coordinator, Arth Ganga. He would be responsible for, but not limited to, the following activities:
• Preparation of EIA, EMP, ToR, bidding documents for hiring of Consultant for EIA, EMP study.
• Assist in co-ordination during site assessment etc.

• The curriculum vitae containing information with reference to each itemof TOR, along with credentials in relation to the prescribed qualifications and experience, should be addressed to the Project Director (JMVP) and must reach in a sealed envelope at the above-mentioned address by post or by hand on or before 20.09.2024.Terms of Reference (TORs) for the above positions are attached.
• The selected professionals will be engaged on purely short-term contractual basis for the delivery of services at PMU/PIUs.
• The professionals will be required to work on full-time basis and will not be permitted to take up any other assignment during the consultancy period with the PMU/ PIUs.
• The selected professionals will be paid a consolidated monthly remuneration as mentioned in the respective TORs. The applicable taxes shall be deducted from the payable consolidated remuneration. Selection will be made based on academic qualifications, merit & experience and working knowledge in the relevant field, preferably on World Bank Projects.
• The Project Director, JMVP reserves the right to accept or reject any or all applications and to cancel the applications under process at his discretion and his decision shall be final and binding.
