Qualifications Details for IUST Recruitment 2024
The position available is for a Research Assistant (RA) and requires candidates with a B.Tech/M.Tech degree in Mechanical Engineering, achieving a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent. Preference will be given to applicants holding GATE/Master’s qualifications or demonstrating expertise in material science and tribology. The initial duration of the position is six months, with the possibility of extension contingent upon performance and the availability of funds.

Applications are sought from enthusiastic and qualified individuals for the Research Assistant (RA) position within the project entitled "Insulation of concrete house in Kashmir: A thermoeconomic analysis," sanctioned by the J&K Science Technology & Innovation Council, Department of Science and Technology, Government of Jammu and Kashmir, under the supervision of Dr. Mahvash Afzal (PI), Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Islamic University of Science and Technology. The position is temporary and will conclude upon the completion of the project. The monthly emolument for this position is Rs. 20,000, consolidated.
General Instructions for IUST Recruitment 2024
- The above position is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project and the candidates shall not claim for regular appointments in the university.
- The University reserves the right to terminate the contract of non-performing candidates at any time without prior notice.
- Eligible candidates must bring all the testimonials/certificates (in original and one attested copy) at the time of interview.
- No TA/DA will be provided to the candidates appearing for the interview.
- Candidates will have to produce original documents relating to their qualification, experience etc. at the time of appearing in the interview.
- The University reserves the right to defer/not to filling up of post advertised here in above, without assigning any reason thereof.
- In case candidate wants to withdraw, he/she must serve one-month notice period (or one-month salary).
- The terms and conditions governing the service shall be as per the rules & regulations of university and/or funding agency (wherever applicable) with amendments from time to time
