Indian Statistical Institute (ISI) Kolkata is conducting a walk-in-interview on July 18, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at the Machine Intelligence Unit (MIU) for the recruitment of two Project Linked Persons on a temporary basis. Candidates must possess either an M.E./M.Tech in Geoinformatics/Remote Sensing and GIS, M.Sc. in Geoinformatics/Remote Sensing and GIS, or related fields, with proficiency in programming languages like C/C++/Java/Python/R.
Alternatively, candidates with an M.E./M.Tech in Computer/Electrical/Electronics/Information Technology or M.Sc. in Mathematics/Statistics/Computer Science, along with experience in Geoinformatics/Remote Sensing and GIS, are eligible.
The age limit is below 35 years, with relaxations applicable as per government norms. The salary offered is Rs. 31,000/- per month. Qualifications Details for ISI Recruitment 2024
- M.E/ M. Tech or equivalent in Geoinformatics/ Remote Sensing and GIS, OR M.Sc. in Goinformatics / Remote Sensing and GIS, OR M.E./ M.Tech in Computer/ Electrical/ Electronics/ Information Technology with knowledge
- in Geoinformatics / Remote Sensing and GIS, OR M.Sc. Mathematics/ Statistics/ Computer Science with Geoinformatics/ Remote Sensing and GIS knowledge.
- Good knowledge of Computer Programming (C/C++/Java/Python/R).
- All through first class, and experience in working on Geoinformatics or Remote Sensing & GIS.
- M.E/ M.Tech or quivalent degree in Computer/ Electrical/ Electronics/ Information Technology, OR M.Sc. in Statistics/ Mathematics/ Computer Science.
- Experience in working on Streaming Algorithms.
Age Limit for ISI Recruitment 2024
The age limit for the position of Project Linked Person at ISI, effective from June 1, 2024, should not exceed 35 years. Usual age relaxations apply for SC/ST/OBC/Women and differently abled candidates. Additionally, age relaxation may be considered for outstanding candidates or those with relevant experience.
Pay Scale for ISI Recruitment 2024
The pay for both projects ranges from a consolidated amount of Rs. 31,000/- to Rs. 35,000/- per month, based on the candidate's qualifications and experience. The appointment period will extend until March 31, 2025, from the date of joining the Institute. Extension or termination of the appointment may occur earlier based on funding availability and candidate performance.
Walk-in Details for ISI Recruitment 2024
- Eligible and interested candidates are required to bring an Application addressed to the Professor-in-Charge, Computer and Communication Sciences Division of the Institute. The cover letter must be included with the project preferences, along with the current resume (signed). The original documents should be brought for verification purpose. In addition, at the time of joining, selected candidate(s) have to produce all relevant documents/testimonials in original for verification and a medical certificate of fitness from the Medical Oflicer of the Institute.
- Failing this, the institute will offcr the position to the next candidate in the merit list prepared for this purpose. CVs with incomplete information or without supporting documents will be summarily rejected. Specific queries, if any, may be directed to the E-mail: [email protected] by 15 July 2024. Selection of shortlisted candidates will be through an interview. The Institute reserves the right not to appoint any of the above. - A walk-in-interview will be conducted on 18 July 2024 at 10:00 a.m. in the Machine Intelligence Unit (MIU), 3d Floor of the Platinum Jubilee Academic Building of the Indian Statistical Institute (ISI). Kolkata for the recruitment of two (02) Project linked persons (one for each project) purely on temporary basis.
