Indian Statistical Institute (ISI Kolkata) has announced a recruitment notification for the position of Project Linked Person, with one vacancy available. Indian Statistical Institute is inviting applications for the recruitment of one (01) Project linked person purely on temporary basis to work on the research project titled “Chitinolytic bacteria for Biological Control: A Sustainable and Eco-Friendly Approach to Integrated Pest Management in Agriculture”, in the Agricultural and Ecological Research Unit of the Institute, Giridih, Jharkhand

Qualification for ISI Kolkata Recruitment 2024
- Essential: First class in M.Sc. in Botany/ Zoology/ Environment Science.
- Desirable: Experience in conducting research in plant-nanoparticle interactions.
- The appointment will be till 31 March 2025 from the date of his/ her joining the institute which may be extended later/ terminated earlier based on performance and availability of the required fund.
Pay Scale for ISI Kolkata Recruitment 2024
The Indian Statistical Institute (ISI Kolkata) is offering a position for Project Linked Person with a monthly pay scale of Rs. 20,000 (Rupees twenty thousand only) on a consolidated basis.
Age Limit for ISI Kolkata Recruitment 2024
Should not exceed 35 years as on 01 May 2024. Age may be relaxed for SC/ ST/ OBC/Women/ differently abled candidates. Age relaxation may be given to outstanding candidates or candidates with relevant experience.

1. Eligible and interested candidates are requested to apply by sending a covering letter to the e-mail: [email protected] mentioning subject as “Application for PLP at AERU” latest by 24 May 2024 addressed to the Professor-in-Charge, Biological Science Division, Indian Statistical Institute.
2. The covering letter must include project name along with the current resume (signed) of the candidate in English, which is required to include
(a) Name (In block letters),
(b) Passport size photograph,
(c) Permanent/ Present Address,
(d) E-mail Address,
(e) Telephone/Mobile No.,
(f) Parent’s/Spouse’s Name,
(g) Date of birth,
(h) Academic Qualifications (with percentage of marks obtained in each examination starting from 10th class),
(i) Experience (if any),
(j) Aadhaar Card/ Pan Card/ Voter Card No.,
(k) SC/ST/OBC/Differently abled status with self attested scanned copies of all documents/testimonials.
3. At the time of joining, selected candidates have to produce all relevant documents/testimonials in original for verification and a medical certificate of fitness from the Medical Officer of the Institute.
4. Failing this, the institute will offer the position to the next candidate in the merit list prepared for this purpose.
5. CVs with incomplete information or without supporting documents will be summarily rejected.
