The Indian Statistical Institute (ISI), Kolkata, is seeking applications for the position of one Project Linked Person on a temporary basis for the "Remote Intelligent Baby Monitoring" project within its Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition Unit.
The ideal candidate should possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or related fields, or a Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, Mathematics, Statistics, or Physics.
Shortlisted candidates will undergo a selection process based on academic records, qualifications, and possibly a written test and interview conducted offline. Qualifications Details for ISI Kolkata Recruitment 2024
- B.E./ B.Tech. in Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Electronics/ Electrical Engineering or equivalent or M.C.A. or M.Sc. in Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Electronics/ Mathematics/ Statistics/ Physics or equivalent,
- strong programming skills in Python and C/C++
- Exposure to Machine Learning (ML) and Deep Learning algorithms
- Publication(s) on Image Processing or Pattern Recognition area.
Age Limit for ISI Kolkata Recruitment 2024
Applicants should be under 35 years of age as of April 1, 2024, with relaxations available for SC/ST/OBC/Women/differently abled candidates. Exceptional candidates or those with relevant experience may be considered for age relaxation.
Pay Scale for ISI Kolkata Recruitment 2024
The Indian Statistical Institute (ISI), Kolkata, is seeking applications for the position of one Project Linked Person on a purely temporary basis. This role involves working on externally funded projects focused on "Remote Intelligent Baby Monitoring" within the Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition Unit of the Institute, located in Kolkata. The pay ranges from 27,000 to 32,000 rupees per month, with no additional allowances, contingent upon the candidate's qualifications and/or relevant experience
Selection Process for ISI Kolkata Recruitment 2024
- Short listing of candidates for interview will be done based on the applicant's past academic records along with their possession of essential and desirable qualifications as well as performance in a written test (if any).
- At the time of joining, selected candidate(s) have to produce all relevant documents/testimonials in original for verification and a medical certificate of fitness from the Medical Officer of the Institute.
- Selected candidates must also provide a medical fitness certificate from the Institute's Medical Officer upon joining
- Written tests (if applicable) and interviews will be conducted offline

- Eligible and interested candidates are requested to fill up and submit the application form at isical.ac.in and upload a covering letter addressed to the Professor-in-Charge, Computer and Communication Sciences Division of the Institute with current resume (signed) in English, which is required to include Name (In block letters), Permanent/ Present Address, E-mail Address, Telephone/Mobile No., Parent's/Spouse's Name, Date of birth, Academic Qualifications (with percentage of marks obtained in each examination starting from 10* class),Experience (if any), Aadhaar Card/ Voter Card/ Pan Card,SC/ST/OBC/Differently abled status including self attested soft copies of all documents/testimonials latest by 19 April 2024 within 06:00 p.m.
- Copies of all these documents should also be sent as attachments to an email to [email protected] with "Application for CVPR PLP in 2024(UP)" in the subject line by the above deadline. Original documents will be needed for verification at the time of interview of shortlisted candidates.
- Applicants submitting biodata with incomplete information or without supporting documents may not be considered for short listing. At the time of joining, selected candidate(s) have to produce all relevant documents/testimonials in original for verification and a medical certificate of fitness from the Medical Officer of the Institute.
- Failing this, the institute will offer the position to the next candidate in the merit list prepared for this purpose. Short listing of candidates for interview will be done based on the applicant's past academic records along with their possession of essential and desirable qualifications as well as performance in a written test (if any).
