Indian Statistical Institute (ISI), Kolkata is inviting applications for the recruitment of one (01) Project linked person purely on temporary basis to work in the project titled "Determinants od Success of FPOs/FCs and their Socio- economic and Environmental Implications for Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Jharkhand" in the Sociological Research Unit of the Indian Statistical Institute, Giridih, Jharkhand.

ISI Kolkata Recruitment 2024 Qualifications, Pay, Age Limit

• First class or equivalent CGPA in Master's degree in Sociology/ Anthropology from a recognised University or Institute.
• Candidate with minimum one year of research/ field study experience from a reputed institute or university on agrarian studies, or rural sociology with evidence of publication in the related field will be preferred.
• Knowledge/ experience in data extraction, data processing and analysis using SPSS/ R/ other related statistical packages for social sciences desired.
• Pay : Consolidated pay of 725000/- (Rupees twenty five thousand only) per month.
• The appointment will be till 31 August 2024 from the date of his/her joining the Institute which may be extended later (with a provision of suitable enhancement of pay)/ terminated earlier, depending on availability of funds and performance of the candidates.
• Should not exceed 35 years as on 01 May 2024, age may be relaxed for SC/ ST/ OBC/ Women and differently abled candidates.

• Candidates are requested to send a covering letter mentioning project title addressed to the Head, Sociological Research Unit, Indian Statistical Institute, 203 B.T. Road, Kolkata - 700108 with current resume (signed) in English, which is required to include
• Name (In block letters), Permanent/ Present Address, E-mail Address, Telephone/Mobile No., (e) Parent's/Spouse's Name, Date of birth, (g) Academic Qualifications (with percentage of marks obtained in each examination starting from 10th class),
• (h) Experience (if any), Aadhar Card/ Voter Card/ Pan Card, G) SC/ST/OBC/Differently abled status including self attested copies of all documents/testimonials through e-mail only at [email protected] with CC to [email protected] and [email protected] latest by 31 May 2024.
• At the time of joining, selected candidate has to produce all relevant documents/testimonials in original for verification and a medical certificate of fitness from the Medical Officer of the Institute.
• Failing this, the institute will offer the position to the next candidate in the merit list prepared for this purpose.
• CVs with incomplete information or without supporting documents will be summarily rejected.
• Applicants shortlisted for interview/ written test will be notified by e-mail to the address provided by the applicant a week before the scheduled date for the online interview.
• The selected candidate will have to be stationed in Giridih, Jharkhand and work under the supervision of the Principal Investigator of the project and no accommodation/ house rent will be provided separately.
• The project involves filed studies in rural/ tribal pockets. The Institute reserves the right not to appoint any of the above.
