IRMA (Institute Of Rural Management Anand) has released a recruitment notification for the position of Research Fellow. The selected candidate will be offered a salary ranging from Rs. 65,000 to Rs. 70,000 per month.

IRMA Recruitment 2024 Qualification
- Must have a degree in GIS/ Geography/ Agriculture/Environmental studies, or related field with demonstrated capabilities in GIS, spatial data, and machine learning
- Hands-on knowledge of QGIS/ArcGIS software and other tools
- Strong understanding of geodatabases and geodatabase applications
- Ability to work with vector and raster datasets
- Familiar with GPS data collection and data management
- Ability to use and edit shapefiles and geodatabases (personal, file, and enterprise)
- Experience working with different coordinate systems, map projections, and datums
- Familiarity with standard cartographic methods, theories, and principles
- Exposure to designing, building, and testing geospatial datasets as a GIS Developer/Data Engineer or in a related technical role
- Experience with Hydrological modeling, Land and soil change modeling, urban dynamics
- Knowledge of queries and reasoning, measurements, transformations, descriptive summaries, optimization, and hypothesis testing for special analysis.
- Knowledge and experience with data processing using PostGIS, Shape Files, Geodatabases, GDAL

IRMA Recruitment 2024 Salary
- Candidates should be available to initiate the work at the earliest. VKPL offers a consolidated remuneration of Rs.65,000/- to Rs.70,000/- per month.
Selection Process For IRMA Recruitment 2024
- Based on the CVs submitted, the shortlisted candidates will be called for a final interview (online).
- The IRMA Director reserves the right to relax the advertisement's prescribed selection criteria if a suitable applicant is found fruitful for the position.

Role Description For IRMA Recruitment 2024
- Assist VKPL team in liaising with client and government agencies
- Work on obtaining, cleaning, and coding GIS data
- Collaborate on research ideas with the professors and professionals associated with the VKPL and other research staff
- Majority of work will be on spatial analysis, cartography, field staff support, and research and development
- Provide independent data interpretation while effectively maintaining data documentation
- Create and modify GIS datasets, manage and maintain legacy GIS datasets develop and implement GISbased analysis
- Develop and maintain geospatial data on desktop and mobile applications. Ensure data meets appropriate data accuracy and content standards for quality assurance and quality control
- Ability to independently manage multiple assignments, determine and set job task priorities, and work with limited direct supervision
