The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) is recruiting for two positions: Junior General Manager and Deputy General Manager in the HR Department. The available posts are suitable for Group "A" or "B" Officers currently working in the Personnel or HR Departments of Indian Railways, the Railway Board (RBSS cadre), or Railway PSUs. The maximum age limit for applicants is 55 years, and the salary range for the positions is between Rs. 15,600 to Rs. 2,00,000, depending on the pay scale pattern (CDA or IDA).
The Junior General Manager and Deputy General Manager roles involve handling a wide range of HR-related tasks, including recruitment, promotion, transfer, pay matters, retirement, and liaison with government authorities. Age Limit for IRCTC Recruitment 2024
- The maximum age limit for the Junior General Manager or Deputy General Manager posts at the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) is 55 years. Applicants should not exceed this age at the time of applying.
Pay Scale for IRCTC Recruitment 2024
Junior General Manager:
- 6th CPC/CDA Pattern: Rs. 15,600 - 39,100 with Grade Pay of Rs. 6,600 (Level-11 as per 7th CPC).
- IDA Pattern: Rs. 80,000 - 2,20,000 (E-5 level or its equivalent).
Deputy General Manager:
- 6th CPC/CDA Pattern: Rs. 15,600 - 39,100 with Grade Pay of Rs. 5,400 (Level-10 as per 7th CPC).
- IDA Pattern: Rs. 70,000 - 2,00,000 (E-4 level or its equivalent).

- The officer is required to look after the various HR related matters such as Deputation, Absorption, Promotion, Transfer, Pay related matters, Settlement matters, APARS, Parliament Questions, Court cases, Recruitment, Time office management, Outsource matters, Training, Medical reimbursements, Empanelment of hospitals and hiring agency, Retirement, Resignation, PF related matters, Service Records, Liasoning with Govt authorities, Compassionate appointments, and other miscellaneous staff matters.

- As per the procedure advised by Ministry of Railways Letter No. 2017/ E (O) II/41/5 dated 25.05.2017.

- The last date for applying through the proper channel for selection on a deputation basis is October 4, 2024.
- Candidates shall apply through proper channel for selection on deputation basis to the above mentioned vacancies in the prescribed proforma attached herewith.
- Zonal Railways, PUs, Railway PSUs, concerned HR dept, etc. to forward the applications of eligible candidate's alongwith Vigilance history/D&AR Clearance and APARs of last 03 years (FY 2021- 22, 2022-23 & 2023-24) to Railway Board for onward transmission to IRCTC Corporate Office/IRCTC, New Delhi.
