Indian Port Rail & Ropeway Corporation Limited (IPRCL) has announced the recruitment for the position of General Manager (Projects & Contracts) for the year 2024. The vacancy is based in Ahmedabad - NMHC (Lothal) with a total of one position available.
Candidates must be between 50 to 63 years of age to apply, depending on the mode of appointment—either deputation, contract, or re-employment. The last date to apply is September 20, 2024. Applicants should hold a full-time degree in Civil/Electrical/Electronics Engineering, with specific experience required for those applying via deputation or contract, including experience in handling large-scale projects and structures.
For those appointed on deputation, the compensation will include E-7 Parent Department Pay plus Deputation Duty Allowance, with other allowances as per IPRCL HR policy. Contract appointees from public sector backgrounds will receive a pay scale of E-7/₹100,000 - ₹260,000 along with IDA, HRA, and additional perks.
For private sector candidates, the pay will be at the minimum of the Basic Pay with negotiable terms for exceptional cases. Re-employment candidates will be offered E-7/₹100,000 - ₹260,000 with specific perks and allowances. Qualifications Details for IPRCL Recruitment 2024
- Full time Degree in Civil/Electrical/Electronics Engineering. (Not applicable for candidates applying on Deputation and Reemployment)
- For appointment on Deputation: Officers should have service experience in Civil/Electrical/Electronics Engineering in Operation & Maintenance, handling Projects & Contracts independently, Planning of PPP Works, Construction and Supervision of structures like large Commercial Buildings/Large Industrial Complex/ Large Convention Centers/ Large Educational Complex/Construction of Museums/ Constructions of Airports/ Construction of Science Center/ Medium & Heavy Industries etc. in CDA scale in Govt./PSUs/JV Companies under Govt. control/Govt. Companies subject to the following:
- Officers should be working in SG i.e. PB-4/GP 8700 (pre-revised 6th CPC) revised to matrix level 13 (7th CPC) with minimum 13 years of Group-A service For appointment on Contract for Officers presently working on absorption or contract in CDA/IDA scale:

Pay Scale for IPRCL Recruitment 2024
For appointment on Deputation: E-7 Parent Department Pay + Deputation Duty Allowance + Other Allowances as per IPRCL HR Policy. For appointment on contract for Officers presently working on immediate absorption or on contract in CDA/IDA Scale: E-7/100000- 260000 + IDA + HRA + Allowances under cafeteria approach @ 35% of Basic Pay & other benefits as admissible in IPRCL. Pay protection will be given to candidates as per DPE Guidelines.
For appointment on Contract for Officers working in Private Sector: E- 7/100000-260000+ IDA+HRA + Allowances under cafeteria approach @ 35% of Basic Pay & other benefits as admissible in IPRCL. The selected candidate shall be placed at the minimum of Basic Pay. In case of deserving & exceptional candidates, Basic Pay may be negotiable.
Note: Apart from above, facilities such as Company leased accommodation (in lieu of HRA), Medical Facility (Outdoor & Indoor medical reimbursement), NPS, PRP as per DPE guidelines (only for appointment in respect of Sr. No. (II) & (III) above) and reimbursement of cost incurred towards mobile handset & Laptop will be as per Company Policy.
For appointment on Re-employment: E-7/100000-260000 Following will be the remuneration: Selected Candidate will be placed at the minimum of Basic Pay of Rs.100000/- plus IDA and HRA will be admissible as per rules. Perks under cafeteria approach will be paid @ 20% of Basic Pay.
Transport Allowance @ 10% of Basic Pay per month will be paid in case vehicle is not provided by the Company. In case vehicle is provided, the Transport Allowance will not be paid and the maximum permitted amount of Perks under cafeteria will be reduced by 1%. No Performance Related Pay will be paid and No TADK will be paid. Mobile/landline/Broad Band bill (All inclusive) reimbursement will be paid subject to ceiling of Rs.1500/- per month.
General Conditions for IPRCL Recruitment 2024
- All qualifications should be recognized by UGC/AICTE/AIU(GOI). Additional weightage may be given to candidates having additional relevant qualifications. IPRCL reserves the right to raise/modify the eligibility criteria in minimum educational qualification and/or minimum work experience. Appointment shall be subject to Service and Conduct Rules of IPRCL.
- Application should be duly forwarded through "Proper Channel" along with Certified copies of last 5 years APARS/ACRs. However, advance copy of application shall be considered. In case of difficulty in forwarding the application through "Proper Channel", Candidate has to attach a declaration that, if Shortlisted, No Objection Certificate (NOC) will be produced at the time of Interview.
