Qualification for Intelligence Bureau Recruitment 2024
Assistant Central Intelligence Officer-I/Executive :
- Officers under the Central Police Organizations or State Police Organizations or Defence Forces:
- holding analogous post on regular basis in the parent cadre or department; or
- with two years’ service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on a regular basis or
- equivalent in the parent cadre or department;
- possessing the following educational qualifications and experience:
- bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university or equivalent; and
- two years’ experience in security or intelligence work.
Assistant Central Intelligence Officer-II/Executive :
- Officers of the Central Police Organizations or State Police Organizations or Defence Forces:
- holding analogous post on regular basis in the parent cadre or department; or
- with five years’ service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on a regular basis or equivalent in the parent cadre or department; and
- possessing the following educational qualifications and experience, namely:
- Essential – Graduation or equivalent from a recognized university; and
- two years’ experience in security or intelligence work.
- Desirable – Knowledge of Computers.
Junior Intelligence Officer-I/Executive :
- Officers of the Central Police Organizations or State Police Organizations or Defence forces:-
- Essential: Matriculate or equivalent from a recognized board, and
- holding analogous post on regular basis in the parent cadre or department; or
- with five years’ service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on regular basis or equivalent in the parent cadre or department.
Junior Intelligence Officer-II/Executive :
- Officers of the Central Police Organizations or State Police Organizations or Defence forces:- Essential: Matriculate or equivalent from a recognized board, and
- holding analogous post on regular basis in the parent cadre or department; or
- with five years’ service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on regular basis or equivalent in the parent cadre or department.
Security Assistant/Executive :
- Officers of the Central Police Organizations or State Police Organizations or Defence forces:-

Junior Intelligence Officer-II/Tech :

- Essential: Matriculate or equivalent from a recognized board
- Desirable: Field experience in intelligence work
Officers under the Central Government or State Governments:

- officials from amongst other cadres of Intelligence Bureau and having put up a minimum of two years’ service in the grade; and
- Possessing the following educational qualifications: -
- Diploma in Engineering in following fields: -
- Electronics or Electronics and Tele-communication or Electronics and Communication or Electrical and Electronics or Information Technology or Computer Science or Computer Engineering or Computer Applications from a Government recognized university or institute. or
- Bachelor's Degree in Science with Electronics or Computer Science or Physics or Mathematics from a Government recognised university or institute. or
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Applications from a Government recognised university or institute.
Assistant Central Intelligence Officer-II/Civil Works :
- Officers under the Central Government or State Governments or Union territories:-
- Holding analogous post on regular basis in the parent cadre or department: or
- With five years service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on regular basis in posts of the pay matrix or equivalent in the parent cadre/department; and
- possessing the educational qualifications
- Bachelor of Engineering or Bachelor of Technology or Bachelor of Science (Engineering) in Civil; or Electrical stream from a recognised university; or
- Bachelor of Architecture from a recognised university
Junior Intelligence Officer-I (Motor Transport) :
- Officers of the Central Government or State Government or Central Police Organizations –
- holding analogous post on regular basis in the parent cadre/department; or
- with five years’ regular service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on regular basis in Lvl 4 of 7th CPC pay matrix (25500-81100) or equivalent in the parent cadre/department; and
- Possessing valid heavy/commercial driving license issued by the competent authority and at least matriculate (10th pass) from a recognised board. Candidate should also possess knowledge of motor mechanism, should be able to remove minor defects in the vehicle, and posses experience of driving motor car for at least 1 year after obtaining valid driving licence.
Halwai Cum Cook :
- Officers of the Central Government-
- holding analogous post on regular basis; or
- Assistant-Halwai-cum-Cook with at least 3 years regular service in Level 2 of 7 th CPC pay matrix; and
- Possessing the following qualifications and experience:-
- 10th pass with a certificate or diploma in catering, etc.
- Experience: 2 years in a Govt. Department or Undertaking
Caretaker :
- Any Group C employee of Intelligence Bureau with five years’ regular service or
- Employees of Central Government or the State Governments or Union territories holding analogous posts on regular basis in the parent cadre or department.
Personal Assistant :
- Personal Assistants/ Stenographers of Central/ State Governments-
- holding analogous posts on regular basis in the parent cadre/ department; or
- With ten years’ regular service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on regular basis in Lvl 4 of 7th CPC pay matrix (25500-81100) or equivalent in the parent cadre/department;
- possessing 10+ 2 pass or equivalent from a recognised Board.
Printing Press Operator :
