The Indian Air Force has announced the Agniveervayu Intake for 2024, inviting applications from candidates meeting specific criteria. Eligible candidates, born between July 3, 2004, and January 3, 2008, must have passed Intermediate/10+2 or equivalent with Mathematics, Physics, and English, securing at least 50% aggregate marks and 50% in English.
Alternatively, candidates with a three-year Diploma in Engineering or a two-year Vocational Course with relevant subjects are also eligible. The pay scale ranges from Rs. 30,000 to Rs. 40,000, with a unique package structure allocating 70% to in-hand earnings and 30% to the Agniveers Corpus Fund, totaling approximately Rs. 5.02 lakh over four years.
An examination fee of Rs. 550 plus GST is applicable, payable online. The selection process involves a selection test, after which a Provisional Select List (PSL) will be published based on merit, subject to medical fitness and other criteria. Online registrations commence on July 8, 2024, closing on July 28, 2024, with no extensions. Qualifications Details for Indian Air Force Recruitment 2024
- Candidates should have passed Intermediate/10+2/ Equivalent examination with Mathematics, Physics and English from Education Boards recognized by Central, State and UT with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English or
- Passed Three years Diploma Course in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics / Automobile / Computer Science / Instrumentation Technology / Information Technology) from Central, State and UT recognized Polytechnic institute with 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English in Diploma Course (or in Intermediate/Matriculation, if English is not a subject in Diploma Course). or
- Passed Two years Vocational Course with non-vocational subject viz. Physics and Mathematics from Education Boards recognized by Central, State and UT with 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English in Vocational Course (or in Intermediate / Matriculation, if English is not a subject in Vocational Course)
- Passed Intermediate / 10+2 / Equivalent Examination in any stream/subjects from Education Boards recognized by Central, State and UT with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English. or
- Passed two years Vocational Course from Education Boards recognized by Central, State and UT with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English in Vocational Course (or in Intermediate / Matriculation if English is not a subject in Vocational Course).
Age Limit for Indian Air Force Recruitment 2024
Indian Air Force is inviting applications for the Agniveervayu Intake. Candidates eligible for this opportunity must have been born between July 3, 2004, and January 3, 2008. If selected through all stages of the Selection Procedure, candidates must not exceed 21 years of age at the time of enrolment.
Pay Scale for Indian Air Force Recruitment 2024
The Year Customised Package In Hand comprises 70% of the total earnings, while the remaining 30% is allocated to the Contribution to Agniveers Corpus Fund. Over four years, the monthly contributions to the fund range from Rs. 9,000 to Rs. 12,000. At the end of four years, the total contribution to the Agniveers Corpus Fund amounts to approximately Rs. 5.02 lakh. Upon exiting after four years, the Seva Nidhi Package totals approximately Rs. 10.04 lakhs, excluding interest.
Examination Fee for Indian Air Force Recruitment 2024
Examination fee of Rs. 550/- plus GST is to be paid online by the candidate while registering for the online examination. The payment can be made by Debit Cards/ Credit Cards/Internet Banking through payment gateway. Candidates are advised to follow the instructions/steps given on the payment gateway, and also print/keep transaction details for their records
Selection Process for Indian Air Force Recruitment 2024
The Provisional Select List (PSL) (merit-wise) will be prepared after the completion of selection test and the same will be displayed at all the ASCs and also on web portal https://agnipathvayu.cdac.in on 14 May 2025. Inclusion of names of candidates in the Provisional Select List (PSL) depends upon the performance of the candidates in the selection test and the same is determined by application of cut off marks vis-à-vis number of qualified candidates in phase-II testing and anticipated vacancies.
Inclusion of name in Provisional Select List (PSL) does not guarantee automatic enrolment. IAF reserves the right to cancel the Selection Process even after publication of the Provisional Select List (PSL), if necessary. Enrolment is strictly in order of merit subject to medical fitness, availability of vacancies, not exceeding the age of 21 years on date of enrolment and meeting all the laid down eligibility criteria as and when called for enrolment. The validity of the Provisional Select List (PSL) shall be 06 months from the date of display and shall be applicable only for AGNIVEERVAYU INTAKE 02/2025.
