The Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology (IITM), funded by the Ministry of Earth Sciences, is seeking applications for temporary positions to support its collaboration with the Rajasthan State Pollution Control Board (RSPCB) on air quality forecasting in Jaipur and for engineering support staff. The positions include a Project Associate - I for RSPCB and an Associate Engineer (IT).
The Project Associate role requires an M.Sc. in Atmospheric Science or related fields with knowledge of numerical models, programming, and data analysis. The Associate Engineer position requires a Bachelor's or Master's degree in relevant fields with three years of experience in system administration, network administration, or network security. The upper age limit for both positions is 35 and 40 years, respectively. Indian nationals meeting the criteria are eligible, with age relaxations for specific categories.
Candidates must attend the walk-in interviews with filled application forms and original documents for verification. The Institute reserves the right to fill or cancel the advertised posts, and selected candidates may need to join immediately upon medical clearance. No TA/DA will be provided for the interview, except as per government regulations for SC/ST candidates.

Qualifications Details for IITM Recruitment 2024
Project Associate:
- M.Sc. Degree in Atmospheric Science / Physics/Meteorology/Atmospheric Physics from a recognized university or equivalent.
- Basic knowledge of atmospheric Numerical Models, instrumentation, and programming knowledge of MATLAB/Python.
- Strong Background of Mathematics.
- Experiences with remote sensing instrument data analysis
Associate Engineer:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology in Computer Science, Electronics & Telecommunication or Information Technology with at least 60% of marks from a recognized University/ Institute Or Master’s Degree with at least 60% marks in Computer Sciences, Computer Applications or Information Technology from a recognized University / Institute A minimum 03 years work experience in System administration (Servers), Network administration, Network Security etc.
- Red hat certified Engineer (RHCE Certified) and experience in various Linux& Windows Server environments
Age Limit for IITM Recruitment 2024
- The Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology (IITM) is an autonomous research institution funded entirely by the Ministry of Earth Sciences, New Delhi. They are currently seeking candidates for the positions of Project Associate – I and Associate Engineer, with age limits of 35 and 40 years, respectively.
- Upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, 10 years for physically handicapped persons and as per rule for ex-servicemen.

- Candidates arriving after 08:30 AM for the morning session and after 01:30 PM for the afternoon session will not be allowed to participate in the interview and will be denied entry into the Institute premises.
