Applications are being accepted for the position of Project Assistant in a sponsored project titled "Preparation of Reclamation, Eco-restoration and Conservation Plan of Pakri Barwadih North West Coal Mining Project" at NTPC, Hazaribagh, Jharkhand. The Principal Investigator is Prof. Biswajit Paul from the Department of Environmental Science and Engineering at IIT(ISM) Dhanbad.
The tenure of the project is one year or until its completion, whichever is earlier. The responsibilities include data collection, field visits, geological and biodiversity studies, and the preparation of reports for reclamation and conservation. The essential qualification is an M.Sc in Geology or Environmental Science, with computer knowledge in MS Office being desirable. The age limit is 36 years, and the fellowship offered is Rs 25,000 per month.
The deadline for applications is 30th May 2024, 5:00 PM.
