A Junior Research Fellow (JRF) position is available for a duration of 3.5 months in the project titled "Investigation of slow flows of non-spherical granular materials" under the supervision of Prof. Sandip Mandal at the Department of Chemical Engineering, IIT (ISM) Dhanbad. The project focuses on exploring shear flows of non-spherical granular materials, particularly in slow flow conditions, through experimental methods.
Candidates must hold a B.E./B. Tech. degree in Chemical/Mechanical/Civil Engineering with a minimum CGPA of 7.0/70% Marks and should be GATE qualified. Alternatively, candidates with a combination of B.E./B. Tech. and M.E./M.Tech. degrees in relevant disciplines, along with GATE qualification, are eligible.
Desirable qualifications include a strong understanding of Fluid Mechanics and proficiency in experimental techniques. Applicants should be under 28 years of age, with relaxations applicable to SC/ST/OBC candidates as per government rules. The fellowship offered is 37,000 INR per month. Qualifications Details for IIT(ISM) Dhanbad Recruitment 2024
- B.E./B. Tech. in Chemical/Mechanical/Civil Engineering with a minimum CGPA of 7.0/70% Marks + GATE Qualified or
- B.E./B. Tech. in Chemical/Mechanical/Civil Engineering and M.E./M.Tech. in Chemical/Mechanical/Civil Engineering or any related disciplines with a minimum CGPA of 7.0/70% Marks + GATE Qualified
- Good fundamental knowledge of Fluid Mechanics, good experimental skills
