IIT Ropar Recruitment 2024 Notification Out Junior Research Fellow Vacancies , Check Eligibility at iitrpr.ac.in
The Department of Civil Engineering at IIT Ropar is seeking applications from Indian nationals for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) under a Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB) Sponsored Project titled “Development of an algorithmic procedure to extract Geomorphological attributes governing floods in headwater catchments and evaluating their potential in predicting design floods at ungauged locations.”
The position is purely temporary for an initial period of 6 months, with a possibility of extension based on performance. The selected candidate will receive a consolidated emolument of Rs. 37,000 per month. Applicants must hold an M.E./M.Tech. in Water Resources Engineering or Remote Sensing and GIS or a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, along with a good academic record and a valid GATE score. Desirable qualifications include hands-on experience with GIS applications and surface water hydrology, as well as coding skills in MATLAB, Python, or R.

Qualification for IIT Ropar Recruitment 2024
- M.E./M.Tech. in Water Resources Engineering or Remote Sensing and GIS or Equivalent from a recognized institute and with an exceptionally good academic record with a minimum CGPA of 7.0 on a 10.0-point scale (or 70% marks) in their Master degree + good GATE score.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Equivalent from a recognized institute and with an exceptionally good academic record with a minimum CGPA of 7.0 on a 10.0 point scale (or 70% marks) with good GATE score.
- Hands on experience on GIS applications, Surface Water Hydrology applications (Proof: Portfolio and/or experience certificate).
- Exposure to coding in MATLAB, Python, R, etc.
Salary for IIT Ropar Recruitment 2024
