We're seeking motivated candidates for two positions in a SERB-funded project, "Doc-Forensics: Effective Methods for Source Camera Identification of Document Images in Real-World Scenarios," led by Dr. Puneet Goyal at IIT Ropar. For the Junior Research Fellow (JRF) position, candidates need an M.E./M.Tech or B.E/B.Tech in CSE/ECE/IT/AI with 70% or more, along with qualifications in national exams like GATE/CSIR/UGCNET/DSTINSPIRE/JEST/NBHM, or equivalent MCA/MSc degrees.
SC/ST candidates require 55% or more. The Fellowship is 37,000/- PM. The Project Assistant role requires a B.E/B.Tech in similar fields with the same academic criteria, offering a Fellowship of 20,000/- PM. Both positions require strong fundamentals in computer science and math, programming skills, and interest in deep learning, image processing, and python. Qualifications Details for IIT Ropar Recruitment 2024
JRF: M.E./M.Tech in CSE/ECE/IT/AI with 70% Aggregate (7.5 CGPA) or B.E/B.Tech in CSE/ECE/IT with 70% Aggregate (7 .5 CGPA) with GATE/CSIR/UGCNET/DSTINSPIRE/JEST/NBHM or other national exam qualified. MCA/MSc in Comp Sc/Mathematics or equivalent will be considered as equivalent to BTech. SC/ST candidates must have secured a minimum of 55% aggregate score (6.0 CGPA) in the qualifying degree.
Project Assistant: B.E/B.Tech in CSE/ECE/IT/AI with 70% Aggregate (7 .5 CGPA). MCA/MSc in Comp Sc/Mathematics or equivalent will be considered as equivalent to BTech. SC/ST candidates must have secured a minimum of 55% aggregate score (6.0 CGPA) in the qualifying degree.
Those who have applied for the PhD program in CSE, IIT Ropar, they can also apply for the JRF position and can be considered for both
An ideal candidate must be
- Good knowledge in fundamental computer science and Maths subjects such as data structures and algorithms, linear algebra and probability
- Some hands-on experience with programming is preferable
- knowledge and strong interest in deep learning, image processing, python programming. Motivation for publishing in good journals/conferences
