The Department of Mathematics at IIT Ropar invites applications for a Research Associate (RA) position funded by the Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB) under the Core Research Grant (CRG) scheme. The project, titled "Harmonic Mappings and Harmonic Function Spaces," led by Dr. Sairam Kaliraj, focuses on addressing fundamental issues in the theory of Harmonic Mappings, as well as problems related to harmonic Hardy spaces and Bergman Spaces.
Applicants must hold a Ph.D. degree in Mathematics or have submitted their thesis, with at least 3 years of research experience post-Master's, along with a published research paper in a Science Citation Indexed (SCI) journal. Candidates with expertise in Complex Analysis or function spaces are preferred.
The initial appointment is for 8 months, extendable up to 1 more year based on performance. The selected candidate will receive a consolidated fellowship of Rs 47,000 per month, with potential increases pending approval from DST-SERB. Qualifications Details for IIT Ropar Recruitment 2024
- Ph.D degree in the relevant area of Mathematics or who have submitted their Ph.D thesis with a minimum of 3 years of research experience after Master’s degree in Mathematics with at least one research paper in Science Citation Indexed (SCI) journal.
- Candidates having research experience in Complex Analysis or function spaces will get an advantage.
Age Limit for IIT Ropar Recruitment 2024
IIT Ropar is seeking applications for the position of Research Associate, sponsored by the Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB) under the Core Research Grant (CRG) scheme. Applicants must hold a Ph.D. degree, with an upper age limit of 35 years (with relaxation as per Government of India norms).
Pay Scale for IIT Ropar Recruitment 2024
The selected scholar will receive a consolidated fellowship of Rs 47000/- per month if he/she has a Ph.D degree. Scholars who have submitted/ defended their Ph.D thesis can also apply, and if they got selected, the committee shall decide their fellowship and it can be upgraded to the above said amount, once they receive their Ph.D degree. Furthermore, the above mentioned fellowship is likely to be increased as and when DST- SERB sanction the same.

Candidates who have not yet obtained their Ph.D. degree must be prepared to present this certificate upon joining.
