The Department of Hydro and Renewable Energy at the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee is seeking applications from Indian nationals for a project position funded by MNRE New Delhi. The project, overseen by Prof. Arun Kumar, focuses on conducting studies on various issues related to small hydropower, including land, material, manpower, and automation.
They are looking to fill one position of either Research Associate or Project Associate. Candidates must have an M.Tech or B.Tech degree in Civil, Mechanical, Hydropower Engineering, or Engineering Geology, with desirable experience in hydropower-related data procurement and documentation.
The Research Associate position offers a monthly salary ranging from Rs. 30,000 to Rs. 75,000 plus HRA, while the Project Associate position offers Rs. 25,000 to Rs. 60,000 plus HRA per month. The duration of the position is six months or until the completion of the project. Responsibilities include identifying small hydropower producers, communication, data collection, compilation, and report preparation on various issues.

- Research Associate: M. Tech in Civil/Mechanical/ Hydropower Engineering/ Engineering Geology
- Project Associate: B Tech in Civil/Mechanical/ Hydropower Engineering/ Engineering Geology

- Candidates desiring to appear for the Interview should submit their applications with the following documents to the office of Principal Investigator through email, by post or produce at the time of Interview
- Application in a plain paper with detailed CV including chronological discipline of degree/certificates obtained.
- Experience including research, industrial field and others.
- Attested copies of degree/certificate and experience certificate.
- Candidate shall bring along with them the original degree(s)/certificate(s) and experience certificate(s) at the time of interview for verification.
- Preference will be given to SC/ST candidates on equal qualifications and experience.
- Please note that no TA/DA is admissible for attending the interview.
