IIT Roorkee Recruitment 2024 Notification Out for 01 Junior Research Fellow, Check Eligibility at iitr.ac.in
The Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee (IIT Roorkee) has released a recruitment notification for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF). The vacancy is for one position located in Roorkee. Applicants must hold an M.Sc or post-graduate degree in Plant Biology, Microbiology, or Biotechnology with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent CGPA (55% marks for SC/ST/Differently abled).
Prior experience in plant metabolite analyses, HPLC, GC-MS analyses, and plant pathogen handling is required. Qualification in CSIR/UGC-NET/GATE is mandatory. The salary ranges from Rs. 31,000 for the first two years to Rs. 35,000 from the third year onward. The selection will be based on an interview scheduled for May 24, 2024, either in-person at the BSBE department Auditorium or online.
Interested candidates must submit their applications, including a detailed CV and relevant documents, via email to the Principal Investigator by May 20, 2024, by 12:00 Noon. Preference will be given to SC/ST candidates on equal qualifications and experience. Please note that no TA/DA is provided for attending the interview.

Applications are invited from Indian nationals only for project position as per the details given below for the research project under the Principal investigator Dr. Debabrata Sircar, Department of Biosciences and bioengineering, Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkce.

Qualification for IIT Roorkee Recruitment 2024
- M.Sc/ post-graduate degree in the following area: plant Biology/ Microbiology/ Biotechnology with minimum 60% marks/equivalent CGPA at 10-point scale (general, OBC, EWS) & 55% marks/ equivalent CGPA for (SC/ST/ Differently abled).
- M.Se degree must be completed.
- Prior experience in the plant metabolite analyses, HPLC, GC-MS analyses, plant pathogen handling, handling of fungal culture is required. CSIR/UGC-NET/GATE is qualification mandatory
Pay Scale for IIT Roorkee Recruitment 2024
For the IIT Roorkee Recruitment 2024, the pay scale for the Junior Research Fellow position includes emoluments of Rs. 31,000 for the first two years and Rs. 35,000 from the third year onward.
