The Indian Institute of Technology Patna has released an advertisement for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) for a project sponsored by the Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB). The project duration is three years with a consolidated fellowship/salary of 37,000 plus HRA for the first two years, followed by 42,000 plus HRA for the third year.
Applicants must hold an M.Sc. in Chemistry with preferably organic/medicinal chemistry specialisation and possess a valid CSIR NET(LS) or GATE qualification. The upper age limit is 28 years with relaxations for SC/ST/OBC/women/PD candidates as per Government of India rules.

Qualification for IIT Patna Recruitment 2024
- M.Sc. (Chemistry) preferably in organic/medicinal chemistry with 60% marks or CPI of 6.5.
- Only candidates with valid CSIR NET(LS) or GATE qualification or equivalent are eligible to apply.
Salary for IIT Patna Recruitment 2024
- The consolidated fellowship/salary for the first two years is 37,000 plus House Rent Allowance (HRA) as applicable, followed by 42,000 plus HRA for the third year.

- The maximum age limit is 28 years, with relaxations for SC/ST/OBC/women/PD candidates as per Government of India rules.
