IIT Palakkad Recruitment 2024 New Notification Out, Check Post, Salary, Age, Qualification And Other Vital Details

Applications are invited for the position of Project Assistant, involving the collection of data pertaining to the biological profile of the Periyar river basin, focusing on aquatic and terrestrial flora and fauna. The data collection will primarily involve secondary sources such as publications, theses, and reports from government agencies.

Collaboration with a GIS expert is expected, and traveling may be required. Required skills include understanding ecological and biological concepts, literature review, and familiarity with GIS tools. Candidates with undergraduate or postgraduate degrees in ecological sciences, biology, or allied areas are eligible, with an age limit of 31 years, relaxable for certain categories as per Government norms.

The appointment duration is initially three months, extendable based on performance, with one position available. The monthly remuneration is Rs. 20,000, with hostel accommodation provided based on availability or admissible HRA as per Government rules.

Qualifications Details for IIT Palakkad Recruitment 2024

• Undergraduate or postgraduate degree in ecological sciences, biology, or any other allied areas.
• Understanding of ecological and biological concepts and how can they be applied to assess the health of a river basin
• Ability to go through literature, identify useful/ relevant data, and extract/ digitize it
• Experience with any GIS tool is desirable

Age Limit for IIT Palakkad Recruitment 2024

• The maximum age limit for candidates is 31 years as of the closing date of the application.
• Relaxation in the age limit is provided to candidates belonging to OBC/SC/ST/PWD categories and women applicants in accordance with Government of India norms.

Pay Scale for IIT Palakkad Recruitment 2024

• The monthly remuneration for this position will be Rs. 20,000/- (Twenty Thousand Rupees Only). Hostel accommodation may be provided at the institute based on availability on a chargeable basis. In case of non-availability of institute hostel, admissible HRA will be provided as per Government of India rules.
